I totally agree.. I accidentally signed up for them thinking it would be good for me.. one time they called and I was in fast/heavy heavy traffic - told the lady that it wasn't safe to talk, etc, she insisted on pushing me for info. Now I just have this set to block on my cell phone..clearly they dont get the wellness part..I actually sent in a "request" to discontinue the calls, and they still keep calling.. apparently it's up to them to decide whether or not they should keep calling or not.

Taking your lead, I called them back and said that my doc and I were doing a great job taking care of my health and I just didn't need the calls from them anymore.. I did allow him to leave me on their mailing - always good to hear about industry updates (Diabetes) so I don't mind getting those.

Now he did say that the only reason that they would call again is if I developed some new condition - they get the claims for these so thats how they know to call. Anyway, hopefully that's all over.

I have Blue Cross & Blue Shield. My parent company's headquarters is in Connecticut and they also offer Cigna as one of my options. I had an operation and soon received a follow-up call from this Wellaware number. The nurse was quite helpful with little hints and information that I checked out with my doctor. Contacting BC&BS, they said that they do pay for this wellaware service on some levels of coverage. They also have BC&BS nurses 24/7 if I wanted to check out the advice.

We have Cigna health insurance and were also getting calls from this WellCare program-so frequently that is verged on harassment. To stop these calls, contact your Human Resources/Benefits department and complain! No one has to endure these calls! Your employer negotiates with these health insurance plans, if there is something you do not like, let HR/Benefits know. Those HR/Benefits people have the clout to make these calls stop. Mine did.

I have had help from this service. Not only do they make sugestions to help, but Also send info that is helpfull.  Books to keep inportent info, and questions to aske my doctor.

I have Cigna through my company (A very large well known company) our companies chosen health insurance plans tend to have a lto of extras this is one of Cigna's extras it was helpful during my pregnancy as I had one didicated health liason, though my OB is great he is swamped with many patients, and if I had an extra question I did not get to ask at my appointment I could call and her being a nurse could assist me, my dr office likes it as well because they have less phone traffic and can put their attention to their daily appointments. They have also gone to bat for me with my primary when I needed to be on a daily preventative asthma steriod they did all the foot work and then just simply shipped my 3 month supply.. I cant complain, I can see where the calls could get exessive but my sister (an RN) has blue cross and when I tell her about a lot of our perks with Cigna she tells me she would much prefer it to BCBS.

I received 2 calls this week from this number as CIGNA telling me they have my health profile and needed to verify my DOB. I refused to give them that info b/c CIGNA should already have it on hand.  The second call I got today - the woman said she just needed the info to make sure it was me.  She could send things in the mail. I told her No.  She then said she would un-enroll me in the plan.

My company provides Cigna.  I get legitimate calls from Cigna Healthcare on a program called WellCare and they are designed to take care of my health.  The nurses are very informative and I enjoy the calls because they give me a little push to be healthier.  

Since I've been getting so many strange calls lately, I didn't answer the phone on this number last week.  After checking the number on this site and reading these posts I got extremely paranoid about the scams some people talk about.  Yes, they do indeed verify birth dates due to HIPPA laws (the government's sometimes-irritating program in many cases)to assure they are speaking to the correct person.

I called the number and they actually answered with the name of my company, followed by the words Cigna HealthCare.  (I work for a huge international distributor.)  I was told this number is one of several numbers that feed into a pool of one master number.  

Yes, I do plan to check this further with Cigna WellCare to assure all the calls I've had are legit.  The problem is, only a number appears without the name of the company.  Hello??? Are you listening, Cigna?  And yes, Cigna has irritated the s**t out of me with calling to get me onto their Rx program until I got on THEIR no call list.  Perhaps they need to look at the tactics of their callers or disable their rotocall(calling 3 to 4 times a day!) because when I've spoken to their legitimate nurses, they have been very helpful.  Other parts of Cigna are lacking in customer service (PHARMACISTS in particular GENUINELY NEED HELP) but the WellAware program is worthwhile.

keeping getting call from this company everyday, never leave a message, since I have the ring tone off, so I never pick up the phone, but it will not leave a message and hang up. every single day, multiple time some days.  Hope someone can shut this phone number down.

They call 3-5 times a week for several months on end.  They never leave a message, and I'll never answer the phone when their number appears.  It's a battle of wills!

They're still trying to call!  But, my will is strong! A call from an unwanted solicitor!

Scammers and solicitors wanting personal information.  You called me, I didn't call you!!

It is CIGNA Wellness. Probably part of their Preventive Maintenance Program for People - ha! Actually, there is probably some perk for them for offering a preventive/proactive medical program. Maybe they won't get left out when the Federal Health Care program takes over so they are practicing on intruding into our lives.

wake up you consipiracy freaks, htis is indeed Cignas wellness program, they have nurse who HELp people wit things like diabetes, weight loss, smoking cessation, copd, sleep apnea and many others.  They get claims past fast and preapprove them.  But then again feel free to ignore the, you pay for the benfit from your company,  good to see you ignore it.
and to the people who want to know why they dont leave mesages? BECAUSE ITs ILLEGAL YOU FOOL.  wake up and read your HIPAA notice. You think they can just say hi im a nurse from your health insirance company of cigna, and im calling about your diabetes?  they get sued in 2 seconds. and fined and worse. So feel free to bury your heads in the sand, and since so many people dont seem to answer their phones on here, why do you even have one???

Dead air call.  From previous messages it seems likely that this is a scam pretending to be Cigna.  I do not have Cigna insurance.
