- ewhfla| 4 repliesThis phone number 315-307-1680 IS claiming to be a process server for the Brockton Moore Consulting Firm and going to attempt to serve you legal papers for an old debt that they are trying to collect. However on lookup -- this number belongs to the YMAX COMMUNICATIONS CORP out of Syracuse NY> Well this is pretty far from TAMPA FLORIDA.
Thus -- both of these 2 companys are working in conjunction to harrass and scare people to pay on settled or written off accounts that are over 7-10 years old. IT IS A SCAM. DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT!!!- Caller: YMAX COMMUNICATIONS

Address is (gasp) UPS store, who woulda’ guessed?
They have no registration in any state as would be required by law to conduct business.
This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, etc. all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices: http://consumerfraudreporting.org/stateattorneygenerallist.php
California AG’s Office: http://oag.ca.gov/ - BigA replies to ewhflaThe company that called you has nothing to do with Ymax. Y max owns MagicJack, which is a cheap way of making long distance calls. You can file a complaint with Ymax and they will terminate the account. However, all the information you need is in my previous post.

Nope send it to me in the mail, then he asks me for my address. Fool if its legit you should already have all of that information. Talking about a company filed a civil complaint against me, couldn't tell me what company, the amount, the date or for what. He said I will get a summons at the door, I said when you find my address I will be sitting right here waiting on it. I hook up on his ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Chris RobinsonCall received claiming a civil law suit was being processed against us. That they had been hired from another firm and could not/would not give the name of said firm. When told to remove us from call list she called me an idiot and hung up the phone.
- JeanI got two calls from this number today. Did not answer and they hung up when the answering machine came on.
- Caller: New York call
- JimI received a phone call from this number on 5/4/15 and didn't answer. Called it back the next day and no answer. Got a Magic jack answering machine. The number then called me back later in the day and said all the same things as the previous reports have stated. Civil Lawsuit, don't know details, call this 877-915-8719 with a file number to find out what it was.
I thought about it for awhile, decided to call the next day. This Brockton Moore Consulting Firm actually had a lot of my information. Full name, DOB, last four of my social, and even my address. The claim was that I owed Sprint for past due bills, even had an old number of mine, freaky! I remained skeptical as the dates of the account weren't adding up and they claimed to have been sending me letters. They wanted an email address so that they could email the letter right away and I didn't give it to them. I asked them to send the letter they claimed to have and that would be good enough, since they already had my address. The lady on the phone seemed very professional and understanding and agreed to resend the letter but also added that the "settlement offer" may not last long and by the time I get the letter it may have been sent to court and or I would get a summons. I started thinking, yeah right and played along. We'll see if this letter actually comes.
I stay on top of my credit and am pretty sure all my debt is paid as agreed or paid in full/closed. I will be doing my self credit check again to double check this claim.
Furthermore I ask, if this was legit, wouldn't they have my full SS#?- Call type: Debt collector

https://getoutofdebt.org/49609/my-elderly-nei ... ion-company-ann - I see replies to Noyou like to congratulate yourself, three of those posts were referencing the same post you did here, the one post is an ad from 2011 with that guys name and different telephone number, one link told something about an old woman having money taken from her, and the last link referenced the one DC name. So you have no proof that these companies are all tied together and that they are owned by this one individual. Ok, thanks for proving that to me. Another person who thinks they can post anything they want to misinform people. Guess you must work for a rival bunch of thieving debt collectors.
- Carol Otenigbagbe| 1 replyI do not know who these people are but they have been calling me for about three days but can't tell me who I'm having the problem with. My credit line was fixed up 5 years ago and I'm over what I once was and I'm not falling for anymore bogus calls anymore. The company is United processing company and I do not owe anyone but my mortgage.

Brockton Moore Consulting - Andrew Trolinger replies to ewhflaObnoxious phone harrassers. Both the message and the staff sound illiterate. Here is how it works...they pepper your phone with urgent messages (kinda stupid in that anybody with a brain knows that the legal system still uses the postal system). After you can figure out what the male leaving the recording is saying (must have a wad of chew or something worse in his mouth when he attempts to speak) and you call back, the "hold" button is slammed on. Trying to sound "official", they ask what your claim number is. As they must hear from all callers, "I don't have one". Here is the best part.....they put you through to a nasty rep. Before I could ask to speak with a supervisor, she asked if I would like one. SLAM... she hangs up on you. My thought is that there isn't a supervisor, but... it might have been too big of a word for her brain size. My attorney called back to receive the same SLAM.
