Thank you for posting this information. I just received this same exact call about a minute ago and after I hung up, I searched the number and saw your posting. I knew immediately that this was a scam, and I'm happy that people are reporting this on the internet for those poor unfortunate people who don't know any better. Hopefully, people are smart enough to check a number online before dialing.

The same thing happened to me. The only difference was they didn't ask me for any personal information or credit card numbers. I knew something was off. My question is how did they get my number? These people should be tracked down. I feel very badly for anyone who is not well informed.

I just received the same call and offer this morning on the way to work.  The guy (with the heavy accent) got angry with me when I  took too long to write down the confirmation and phone numbers (315-636-0795) even after I explained that I was driving (and using an earpiece) at the time.  As I didn't call back immediately they just called again, but I let it go to voice mail.
I like the idea of calling them back every day.  I think I will do it at least once a day.  I have had great fun with telemarketers and keeping them on the phone for no reason.  I feel that if they cold call me and waste my time, I'm going to make the best of it and waste as much of their time as possible.  Who knows, maybe it will help prevent them from making contact with someone might fall for the scam.

We are in the processmof opening a rehabilitation center and this supposed orginization called my man telling him he was approved for the same amount as everybody else, and the story goes exactly the same as yall! Glad i did the research, BEFORE he went to Walmart.  My boyfriend is older and isnt too good with technology and is just way too trusting. I knew right away it sounded like a scam! Very very glad Yall found this and posted it first! Thank you! The smile on my mans face woth how happy he was...kills me! I want justice!!!!

got a call today...said it was to pay off my student loans...and I'd never have to pay it back...and to go to Walmart to pick up the money gram. The loan was for $9,200. The lady's name was Michelle, and she sounded Indian or Arabian. This is continuing and I hope someone stops this SOB.

My wife got the same Wal-Mart confirmation# call with a $249.00 deposit. I to will be calling like crazy and will be enjoying every minute of it. Also there's five 5 phone lines I can continuously call from.

315-636-0795- is a number people used to scam people out of their own money by promising grants from the us government. Please report this number and have it SHUT DOWN. Sadly to say they call from an unknown number so no way to block ha original number.

I have the entire 2nd phone call recorded. The first call was on the home phone, said he was Nick Logan, and it was very similar to what everyone else is saying here. The 2nd person I called said her name was Janet, ext 105. She wanted me to go to Wal-Mart then call her back. Again, I have the phone calls from this so-called Janet recorded.

Caller ID said "0" I asked for the callers name (barely spoke English) Lydia Brown I got her call back number thinking it was a scam 702-242-6193.

just got off the phone with these jerks. the second i asked, "why did the gov make this bill?" he immediately told me, "talk with my supervisor bcuz he'll know more." I said back, "Yeah sure buddy, this ain't no scam." then laughed in his face, told him, "come up with better lines next time." LOL

I just received this same call at my office.  These nuts are all over the place.  Stay alert and smart everybody.

Received a call from Janet, Austin got irate and hung up on me stated I wasn't listening to him and that I advised that I had used Western Union before, send $239.00 make money order out to myself, then call them and Western will release funds, unbelievable if they think that you are that stupid!!!!

SCAMMER advised to send the western union money of $239.00 to OZNUR BAYRAK in TURKEY

A man with an accent told me I had won $9200 from a government grant that I was selected for. He said I qualified because of a survey they took in december of 1700 people that had paid their taxes and hadn't filled for bankruptcy. He gave me a number to call, 363-636-0795, and told me to give my id number, gg1105, in order to claim this money. Didn't sound real to me so I didn't call the number.

I paid all my bills and the government wanted to reward me will 9,200 dollar
I though it was too go to be true. I then looked up the number and found it here.
The person had poor English.
