- TrixI've received calls from BofA in the past re potential fraudulently charges but can't remember what they asked me. When I received a call tonight from (315) 724-4022, however, I hung up when it asked for the last four numbers of my SSN. I called BofA directly (number on the back of the card), explained why I was calling, and they gave me (877) 833-5617 for their security department. The security department confirmed that (315) 724-4022 IS the correct number and was a legitimate call. Nonetheless, they said that my decision to hang up and call the bank directly was the right thing to do given my suspicions - better safe than sorry.

- Call type: Telemarketer
- GilCheck for fraudulent activity on your debit or credit cards. We have had debit card theft originating from the UK on a new card we received from BOA. The first thefts occurred two days after we received the so called "unusual activity" call from this bogus number (315-724-4022). Good luck getting your money back from BOA after their investigation!
- Debbie McFarlaneThree times today and messages left saying they are Bank of America ATM Fraud HA!
- Caller: Bank of AMERICAN

It is Bank of America - BigbrownThese people are using multiple numbers (888-297-7414, 800-731-7766, 800-462-4884, 877-779-3472) and I likely have not posted all of them. We traced them all back to Nationwide Credit / Kabartes. Come to find out they were trying to reach a person not related to anyone in our household or anyone we know. Not even close. They have called 52 times in the last 5 days from the numbers above. We called them to set them straight. What a joke, these scammers are just hoping to get an unwittingly stupid person on the phone in my opinion.
- Caller: Nationwide Credit
- Call type: Debt collector
- Don't be stupidA bank will never call you to request information, it is 100% scam. Trust me a lot can be done with your last 4 and your name, don't be a fool and think that nothing can happen. They called the wrong person because I will notify the FBI and trust me I will put pressure on those suckers.
- Hasmikd replies to RandyIt is fake # , they are fishing! do not call them. Call the tel # on the back of the card.
- Hasmikd replies to mcI got a call also today. It is Illegitimate #, doesn't belong to Bank of America.
- ResikLook on the back of your card. "From Outside the US call collect at 315.724.4022". Quite a scam if they are able to print their number on the back of the card in your wallet.
- Caller: BofA
- RonI did not take the call.
When I called back, the message said it was a long distance operator and if I wanted
to accept an international call, just say "yes."
Even though I did not respond, a call went through and a recording came on saying that
Bank of America was closed for the holiday!!!- Caller: Bofa (Bank of America)
- Frank replies to anonperson| 1 replyi got a call from this number today, but hung up cause i was 830am on a saturday morning and they called my house which is not listed in any of my bank accounts, i called BOA 800 number and they said there is no issues with any of my accounts, the 315 number is legit BUT IT MAY BE LIKELY SOMEONE IS SPOOFING THE CLID ... so still beware when recieving a call from this number anyway!! IF they call YOU and ask info thats a red flag... if you call THEM and they ask info for verification thats a whole nother story
- u gay? replies to REALLY?give me yours, i won't do anything illegal
- MNSCalled the # on the back of my card to be sure. The call IS LEGIT. I spoke to a BoA rep and there was fraud on my account. Do not hesitate to call them - call the # on the back of your card if it makes you more comfortable. But do NOT hesitate to call them!
- Caller: Bank of America
- It's not a scam call your bank they willThey called me... I thought it was a scam, so I called B of A directly. Its the Credit Card Company that Bank of America goes through and probably other Banks as well. They call anytime there are unusual patterns on your account, or if there are large amounts being taken off your debit card. I'm always more safe than sorry, so call your bank first and they will connect you to the same people.
They do ask info to confirm that it's you calling. They didn't ask the las four of my social, but i'm sure the questions differ so that someone doesn't learn the system and know what's going to be asked.
If you don't call back and dismiss it, you'll see that they weren't a scam when you try to use your card and there's a hold on it...- Caller: 3157244022
- JoeReceived a call from the 315 number and called BoA back.. This is a scam, don't give them anything, I have reported it to the local FBI.
