I can assure you that this number is legit.  I travel internationally and when the BOA fraud department shuts off my ATM access out of concern (such as in Brazil) then this is the number that I have to call to get it reactivated.  I have completed this cycle many times now in multiple countries.  As a side note - I think that the insulting 'all-knowing idiot' needs to get some anger management help (and possibly just a life).

This is legit for sure. Just look on the back of your bank of america debit card. This number is on the card. Simple.

It's legit. I got the automated call the moment I tried to make a purchase from an out of country merchant, along with a notification from the BoA app, and email. Any scam calls from this number are probably spoofed.

So since "scam calls from this number are probably spoofed", there's no guarantee it's a legitimate call and no one should give callers from this number any information. The smart thing to do instead is hang up immediately and call the number on the back of your card. That way you know you're actually speaking to your credit card company.

The automated call states they are from Bank of America and that a debit card was send to me which needs to be activated by me asap

This is a legit -- BOA called to remind me to turn on a new debit card and if I hadn't received it...  Good call to get.

I don't know about this particular number, but I called the Bank of America number on the back of my card and there was indeed a long list of fraudulent charges on on my business debit card.  When in doubt, check it out I say.

The post from "Mike" above continues this scam -  On redialing the number, I was asked for my bank account number, my debit card number my tax id number and my social security number - DANGEROUS SCAM!  I also called B of A and alerted them - their fraud department has no record of this number

Okay - post script to my above message - and apologies to 'Mike' - The number is on the back of the debit card but the key thing to consider is that you are supposed to be traveling abroad to use this number - I think if it is used domestically there is a problem.  It is also the number you are supposed to call rather than the number from which the bank will call you.  The recorded message I heard and the information requested (as listed in my post above) leaves my in no doubt that it is a scam and the legitimate bank associate with whom I have just spoken also told me that it is a scam and forwarded the relevant information to the bank's fraud department.

This seems legit. I received a robocall from this number saying a merchant I had used may have had their data compromised, and I'll be receiving a new BoA debit card in the mail soon. And if I had any questions, to contact the number on the back of the card. There's always the chance that they send me a bogus card with a fake number on the back, but that seems like a lot of effort for an otherwise simple scam.

Got a call from this #, no message. Called it back and it went to a menu. Hung up called Bank of America and talked to them. There was no message on my account, so they had no reason to call me. If this number calls you, use the number on the card or whatever you normally do to find out if anything is wrong. Seems to me that it may be possible that someone is spoofing the number (making it look like this # is calling you when it may be someone else).

Received a call from this number. Didn't answer and message was cut off. Shows to be BofA on caller ID and many posters here claim it is a good number. However the "outside the US" number on the back of my BofA card is different - 302-738-5719.
I wouldn't trust it...

Yeah I have no bank of America account and no debit card and that number has called me three times about needing my info to fizmx issues with my card....again....tge card doesn't exist....fraud

Its a scam folks, I don't have an account with B of A and I had 2 calls from this number today. So I called B of A Customer Service at 1 (800) 432-1000 and they quite emphatically said this is a scam. If you get a call from 315-724-4022 hang up and call the number on your card.

I got a call and it said there is unusual activity on my account. Then it asked me for the numbers so I hung up.
Later I checked my online BOA and it DID have unusual activity.
Now I am really not sure if it is the legit number.
