I received a call from Bank, of Am Erica today.  I too was skeptical about the call but I also received a follow-up fraud alert email from BofA and when I logged into my account, the alert was also there.  We need to remain alert for the scammers but be careful what get's reported.
Thanks for everyone's vigilance.  Keep up the good work.

Received a call this morning from 315 724-4022 in The USA. CallerId display showed "Bank, of America" ; note the comma!
The automated announcement said suspicious ATM activity... Need to validate transaction (blah-blah) and to either call 877 248-6276 by 4/19/17 or log on bankofamerica.com and enter a 6 digit message code which they provided. If calling from outside the country, call 602.597.2395. Otherwise, account would be held in suspension.
Since I am abroad, I logged into my account and there were no alerts; called the calling outside the US collect number, 315 724 4022, found on back of my debit card, and the rep said there was no issue.

Had my Assistant back in the US , stop by the local BOA branch with all the info, and they said it was a scam.

This is a real number. It was verified with B of A while we were on the phone with the number we called. We had over $1000 stolen and we called B of A but they called us to notify from this number.

It's real. A B of A rep confirmed it when we called to report fraud. That number was calling to tell us $1000 was stolen from our account.

Don't have a Bank of America account.  Have never had an account with them.  If it's not a scam, why is anyone calling me?

I seriously doubt this number is legit.  I always provide my land line as the contact number and NEVER my cell number.  They called my cell.  It's a robo-call.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in this, becuase they kept calling me non stop I told them I don't have that Bank at all and I'm states away from you guys. They told me a scam is going on and I told them I can give you there number they said no thank you just block it. So I did but funny thing is its there number that my phone remembers. All I can say is go to your banks first and talk to a person face to face if someone is stealing from you becuase that's more important then being on the phone. You got to see if it's legit.

I can't believe there are so many mature adults think this is true. These scammers call from any bank name they want. I've had 5/3 and BofA. I don't have an account at either bank.

This was a real call from Bank of America

They said that it was Bank of America and that one of the retailers that I use had been compromised and that they were sending me a new debit card and that they would cut off my old card on 6/7/17.

I have already received the new debit card, a letter in the mail from Bank of America AND an email saying basically the same thing. This was a real call.

Got computer call today stating they were from the Bank of America and that I needed to activate my new debit card because my card and account had been compromised.  I have not received a new debit card.  I called Bank of America and talked with a representative.  Neither my account nor debit card has been compromised and nothing on my account stating it had.  The caller ID showed Bank of America with this tel. #.  Scammer.

I received a similar call. It was actually BofA letting me know that a merchant I had used my card at reported that their data had been stolen. BofA called to alert me that they were issuing a new card as a safety measure and to watch my account in order to report any fraudulent activity.
