    They've called me twice today without leaving a message.  So, since they won't identify themselves, I have used a call-blocking app I got from Google play store for my android phone called Mr. Number.  Now I never have to worry about getting a call from them.

    Caller hung up.  From my research it appears that this would have been a solicitation of some kind.

    I keep getting calls from this number. They don't leave a message and when I called it back, it says it is out of service or has been disconnected.

    Why don't you share the exact information such as bill number, name and who attached the "rider" as you call it, otherwise known as an ammendment to it.

    This phone number is “believed to be” "issued" or "leased" or "sold" via Marigold Technologies, Inc, LLC.

    (“Believed to be” is a disclaimer because I can not legally say “It is” even though – I'm sorry – even “IF” it is.)

    They are vague and will not tell you anything about what they do except that they are a marketing firm. Their exchanges are subsidied after subsidied enable to conceal and divert legal responsibilities elsewhere.

    Here you'll find a description on their company;

    http://www.marigoldtech.com/pdf/CompanyOverview.pdf

    Her you'll find their home directory;

    http://www.marigoldtech.com/directory.htm

    (Note their sub-directory on the upper left corner of their page.)

    Most importantly, here is their phone number:

    212-696-5000.

    You can call them and will reach actual people here.

    Please note that they state that they are “ Trusted by Fortune 500 marketing executives”. This does not mean they are RECOGNIZED by Fortune 500. (They found a way to include the name “Fortune 500” in their company description because it bolsters sales.)

    They are a company of about a dozen employees.

    If you continuously call such a small company for any reason (like asking them what time it is or what the weather is like) YOU COULD TIE UP THEIR COMPANY.

    (Disclaimer: because it would be illegal for me to suggest means to sabotage their company, I am not telling you to do this, I am just telling you that it has been done successfully!

    Disclaimer; Legal communication skills forbids anyone from harassing or threatening anyone. It would be illegal to deliberately call anyone to annoy them. HOWEVER people can make calls to business' for inquiries.
    IE; “Are you the firm that sells my number because I would like it stopped,” or;
    “I just got a call from that creepy phone number and it reminded me of how pleasant you were and I thought I'd call and let you know,” or;
    “How's the weather today?” Or;

    You may just want to inquire on how you can use their product, but I have to WARN you that acting as a genuine CUSTOMER who is very curious will mean they will have to waste – oh I'm sorry – “SPEND”  time talking to you and not getting their actual jobs done.)

    It's probably best to call them and let them know what a wonderful job they are doing because you are constantly getting calls from their lists! (And then be so overwhelmed that you have to share a brownie recipe with them!) You can call and praise them all day any hour.

    And remember; Calling people continuously will frustrate them and ruin their day, even if you tell them pleasantries. (You are probably familiar with this frustration every time you get a happy sounding call offering a free trip to Cancun!)

    I apologize for the use of all these disclaimers but our laws (by the people, of the people and for the people) protect business scum more than the people.

    I think you get the concept here.

    I receive about 3 calls a week from these idiots.  Thanks to caller ID I have never picked up, and they never leave a message.  How do we file a joint complaint of harrassment?
