He called me saying his name was Ian and that they wanted me to go to Pittsburgh and do a photo shoot for 25$ an hr that my pictures were sooo pretty and blah blah blah. He also said that samsung contacted him about my photo (Which i put online for free) and said they wanted me to be their new IT girl and that i would be on every magazine ad and commercial. He said that I did not pay the fee and to call him the next day. I am not planning on calling him but I want to make sure that from the free one online im safe. let me know :]

You are totally safe.  Just be sure that you are ready to go on auditions.  The company has over 2 million members.  Obviously a few people have complained here and there, but as long as you understand that you can submit yourself to all the auditions they list, you should do well with the Explore Talent service.  Not a scam or ripoff.  I've used them before.

ok i got a call today from some guy i could not understand at all! he told me that i was pre-selected for a samsung mobile commercial for $7000 and a lucky brand billboard for $1500! i dont know what the deal is, i'm completely new and unexperienced. i dont know what to do, he told me that i am on the roster for both casting calls but i have to register with them for $120 for 6 months or $199 for a year first before I can actually go to the casting call. HELPP??

If you upgrade your free account to a paid account, you can submit yourself for that audition and a lot of other auditions that you fit.  If you want to go on auditions, signing up is fine.  Explore Talent is an audition submission service.  They provide audition information all over the country.  The auditions are real.  You can also build your personal profile page with photos and video. I use mine to network.  Anyway, that's my info.

super glad i found this. someone jus called asking me to do a samsung commercial. i almost bought it but decided to do research. im signed with models inc agency & they do not make you pay a membership fee, if and only if you land gigs over 500 dollars, they have you pay a percentage. if someone wants me im sure they wont make me payyyy to have me if im soooo "gorgeous"

I worked for explore talent for a few weeks and after I found out what they were doing to talents, scamming them for their money, I had to quit, I didn't want to be a part of a company that takes advantage of talents and take their money. Its a total scam 100 percent! These [***] need to be stopped. Spread the word, and if u are signed up with explore talent get your money back and file a BBB compalaint, they need to be stopped this cannot go on any longer.

You must be kidding!  Your comment is a joke.  Explore Talent gives me easy access to thousands of auditions.  I don't have time to be looking all over the internet for these auditions.  For me to pay $16 per month for full access to all the auditions with unlimited submissions, free web hosting of my personal profile page with photos and videos, and all the networking events during the year, it is well worth it.  I was a free member for quite a while before I paid for a full membership.  I'm sure glad I did.  Decide for yourself, but definitely NOT a scam.  You must have signed up for something or they would never have called you.

A lady named "Michelle" just called me and said I had a perfect look. She said there are a lot of companies that would hire me for modeling. It seemed too good to be true and she said there would be a fee to be able to contact these companies so I knew something was up. Thankfully I did some research on this number and avoided a big waste of money.

He repeated my number back to me to be sure and I told him again that it was the wrong number and hung up. Called back *67 and a woman answered Explore Talent so I hung up. I then did my research which led me here. Be careful leaving your phone number online!

they're "legit' right? That's why that they said had a casting call for me even though I did not even submit my picture?  If they are so "legit" how come there are so many people on this site that believe that they are a scam... Gee.. Lemme think... Maybe because this company IS A SCAM!!!

Same as everyone here...I wanted to do modeling and acting...got suckered into signing up for the free account...ugh I could just beat myself up LOL. Anyone know how to get off of the calling list? Also, I bet that David who is posting above here ^^^ works for them...you know these people probably know about this site and are trying to do everything in their power to make people think it is okay to PAY to find auditions. You can find auditions without this site, it just requires a little more digging...and those of you who stated that your acting teachers told you never to pay for auditions...they are absolutely correct! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!

I have a bunch of auditions for you If you could just give me a call back at 3237852000 ext. "9... (forgot the rest)" thanks hun... for one the number just kept ringing and nowhere to put an ext. also i foudn a number on caller if 3237852010 which also kept ringing... Obviously a scam

David is not lying i also purchased an account and there is alot of auditions but the backgroudn is a bit fishy and it seems they only call people to gain more business

they keep calling and i dont even act or model or want to.  I want to know how they got my number.  Can i do something to get them to stop.  Its so creepy

A legitimate talent agency will book you thru their company booking agent for a percentage (usually 20%) of the contract. Pay in advance services are a scam and should be avoided. If they offer portfolio services for a fee, ask if you can submit your own portfolio. If they yes, check with a photo studio for fee and compare to the agency fee.

Hey my brothers and sisters who are trying to get in the industry and are not sure on what to do. Let me give you guys some advice do what I did not just about this company but for anyone else only thing you have to do is type in the phone number in GOOGLE and if it is okay they would have there address and company name on line any one who runs any type of company should be on line even people numbers.

Okay so i have been in the entertainment industry my entire life, i just recently stumbled upon explore talent and i thought it was pretty interesting due to the fact that they have every audition you can possibly go to at such easy access. Parts of me believes its a scam but at the same time if you are determined to be an actor, model, dancer etc you will use the information they offer to your full advantage, its all what you make of it. Nothing in life is free; believe that!!! Yes, you can lose your money and thats because they tell you, "pay us and we will do blah, blah but you have to show up and we will make nothing off what you earn if you get the job." So say you get 10 jobs, you can make back your $199 or $30 (whatever package you were sold into) easy. No audition or casting is guarenteed so what your paying for is your exposure and opportunity of being seen at more castings, some you probably couldnt find out anywhere else. I dont know i can go on forever, i think if you have the money to spend and your willing to put your all into being who you want to be go for it. Now, if your broke or you feel like you can spend your money elsewhere maybe you should consider saving it for a better time. If they havent helped absolutely anyone throughout their existance i dont think they would be as big as they are, im sure people have been able to make a debut here and there and after that you have to work harder and network more in the industry and eventually find an agent who sees your talent and is willing to invest their time in you in order to ptofit. I think explore talent is a good foundation for people to start but you determine how well your going to use the package. It is unfortunate to here they call random people who have no pics on their profile or have never signed up and have no interest in being in the industry cause that goes to show that they are about the money and not you, but hey, if the real talent isnt buying you gatta find the money somewhere else; in the end its still a business and their ultimate goal is to stay open. I manage a dance studio and i know how it goes. I hope all of you can get something from this, nothing in life has a rule book; their are different roads to success and some people slip through the easiest cracks cause they were willing to take the chance and thats what life is about.
