- EBSCO Teleservices replies to MombotWe will not stop calling. We have a legal right to call you. We are backed by the FCC. If you have a complaint, talk to our friends at the FCC.
- EBSCO Teleservices replies to Rock S| 4 repliesDo you think we really care if we pay a minor fine by calling you. We will continue to call you. There is nothing you can do about it. We'll pay the small fine and keep calling. We have more than enough cash flow to pay these low fines.
- FCC Enforcer replies to EBSCO Teleservices| 3 repliesArrogant, aren't we?
Let's see how fast that smirk is wiped off your face, when YOU and your employer are sued for REPEATED and INTENTIONAL violations of the TCPA, which carries fines of up to $1,500 PER call:
The TCPA, which was signed into law in 1991 under the first Bush Administration and codified under 47 U.S.C. 227, prohibits calls using any automatic telephone dialing system or artificial or prerecorded voices to:
•Emergency telephone lines
•Telephone lines of any guest room or patient room at a hospital, health care facility, elderly home or similar establishment
•Telephone numbers assigned to paging services, cellular telephone services, specialized mobile radio services, other radio common carrier services or any service for which the called party is charged for the call
•Any telephone call to a residential telephone line
•Send unauthorized faxes
The only way that a caller won't violate the statute is if express consent has been given - and violations of the TCPA are steep. An unintentional call carries a damage amount of $500; an intentional call carries a damage amount of $1,500. That's per call and regardless of the purpose of the call. In other words, if they call you using an automated dialing system without your consent, they've violated the Act and you are entitled to damages.

- NozzyI was getting calls at all hours of the day every day. I finally called that number back and spoke to a very nice lady who looked up my number and told me why they were calling (subscription renewal to a magazine we no longer want). So I asked her to remove my number from her list and she said it might take 24 - 48 hours before any future calls stop. One telemarketer down, another 40 to go.... sigh.

- Annoyed CI keep getting calls from a company called EBSCO Teleservices 330-492-2913, I have looked up the number and its had several complaints, stating they are a company called Creating Keepsakes. I have never belonged to this company and how they got my number I would like to know. My number is on the National Do Not Call List, I would like to know how to get them to stop calling me and respect the do not call list.

- movingtoeuropeAccording to others, this is a magazine subscription telemarketing outfit. The only mag subscription I had was to Rolling Stone, and that was ONLY because it was free. (Great mag till they ruined it sometime in the '80s.) And yes, that subscription just ran out and I've ignored their mailed offers imploring me to renew, so I'm betting that's the culprit in my case. NOT happy!

- SandyI think I just solved my problem with this number. They have called me multiple times every day, right when my child goes to bed (fun) - I'm tired of an 8:45 or 9:00 call every night. I called the number back and left a message to please remove me from the list. Did a little more research, they are a telemarketer that magazine publishers use to renew expired subscriptions. Found an 800 number - 1-800-456-5105 - called that, was politely transferred to customer service, where a lady took down my number to be removed, but informed me that it was a call for renewal of Modified Magazine, a subscription that my husband had that we hadn't renewed. I'll wait for them to send me something in the mail, telemarketer won't be getting my business.
She told me it would take 24 hours to come off the list. They were polite to me, hopefully the nuisance calls will now stop.
Oh, and FYI - they are calling on behalf of a company we have done business with - so therefore, they can call legally - regardless of whether or not we are on the DNC list, FYI...- Caller: EBSCO

- Franwe have been inundated with phone calls from Ebsco Teleservice despite the fact that we are on the no call registry and i have told them that. They have ignored my request to stop calling. I went to www.call-ets.com on their web site, contact us and put in an email request to remove our numbers or I would contact the AG in our state and file a complaint with the Federal Do Not Call. Let's see what happens.

- Hutch| 1 replyI am getting anywhere from 6 to 8 phone calls a day with no message left. I got their 1-800 number (1-800-456-5105) and contacted them requesting same to place me on their do not call list. The man was friendly and said that I should not receive any more call after 24 to 48 hrs. Hopefully that will end the annoying phone calls from this telemarketer ??
