This company calls everyday including Sunday!

Obviously you don't understand how a server works either or that all telemarketing companies use a dialer and if it is improperly set it will dial too many numbers to the point that the callers can't call them all. When that happens the dialer will dial the number, then if there isn't an employee to answer when it is picked up, the call is then dropped. So, way to know your technology.

It will take the company a business day or so to process your request to be put on the Do Not Call List. It doesn't just happen automatically when then put it in because the telemarketers themselves don't have any control over that list. It has to be entered and then, processed by the I.T. department. So, don't be surprised that it takes a little time for that to go in. To answer way they hang up when you answer it's because the shift manager or whom ever is in charge of their dialer setting has it too high for the number of people on the shift. Therefore, the telemarketers aren't able to pick up every call as the dialer dials them. So, when you call in complain that they need to turn down their dialer. It isn't the callers fault, it's the managements.

You're a very ignorant person. The magazine that you are getting and are having calls for by Ebsco Teleservices hired them. The magazines that they're calling for have hired this company to call you in order to attempt to get you to by more. The lists that the telemarketing service and information all come from the magazine's company. Way to be ignorant. They don't just randomly come up with a list, they are given it and if there's a mistake on it, it's because the company who hired and gave Ebsco the list had it wrong.

Multiple daily calls that I don not pick up with caller ID indicating an unknown number...like a minimum of 5 calls daily.

this is my most frequent caller in my phone list.  Calls several times a week, sometimes several times a day at all hours. Never leaves a message. Thanks goodness for caller id!

I have recieved 45 calls from this number After reading these posts I called and a lady told me they were calling because of a subscription I have to cycle world. Call the number and they will remove you from their harrassment list.

Got repeated calls no message. Call the number and found it was a service trying to get us to extend a subscription on a magazine. Requested them to to put us on their do not call and the request was granted in 24 hours.

They call, do not leave a message, call weekdays including Sat & Sun.....thank goodness for caller ID....if I don't recognize a number and name, I do not answer.

If you don't wish to receive calls from someone simply save them as a contact and give their number a name. Something that at you will recognize at a glance. A line of letters, symbols anything to remind you that this an unwanted caller. While the company that called might remove your number from their list the people purchasing their list might not remove it. It would never end. This has worked for me for the past year.
