You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/
    http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-atto ... tates_value=All

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

This number has been calling me for months. Every time it is a recording that says this is not a sales call and gives another number to call back or to press 1 to speak to someone now. Even if you press 1 you never get anyone and the call disconnects. I have tried again and again to get them to remove my number to no avail.

I get several calls a day on my cell from these people.  All of our medical bills are paid in full and new ones we pay as they come.  They never leave messages and the few times that I did pick up and not say anything, there was nothing on the other end.

Revenue Group - 877-672-0357. Like the others, wants me to verify the information. I said he needed to tell me what he had and I would verify it. I wouldn't give him any of my information. He said well have a great day and hung up.

Revenue Group, asking for birthday or last four digits of SSN. When I asked if she could give me more details about the bills in question, she said she couldn't. I told her to send me something in writing and she thanked me and wished me a nice day. I have never used Cleveland Clinic but I do visit University Hospitals on a regular basis to manage a chronic condition.

Whoever keeps calling from 330-622-4734 keeps calling, and never leaves a message. If it's any kind of telemarketing, they'd better stop calling. I'm on the national dnc list.

Just got a call from a company stating they were something revenue and started asking me for my personal information. When I said, "I am sorry I don't share personal information with people I don't know on the phone" they were rude and said "fine, we will take care of this another way" then hung up.

The REAL problem here is the Cleveland Clinic billing department,  I have wasted a ridiculous amount of time on the phone with them trying clear up their mistakes, then when they finally find and confirm their mistake and tell me it’s fixed..... yep, a week or so later I get a bill for the same thing:-(.  Call again and nobody has any record of my previous call and then they say “ oh just ignore the bill”,  then the collections start!!!  Anyone ever notice they never make a mistake in your favor???  Ever leave a drive thru window with MORE food than you ordered ?

Maybe instead of spending time on the phone you should be using it to send them written disputes?  Send them to the head of the department as well.  Oh, and dealing with the debt collector will be a lot easier if you read my other post.
