- JMO| 1 replyGot called yesterday but only just got around to checking what I suspected.....criminal scam. There is no area code of 333...this number is spoofed by mentally deficient criminals. And this scam is just so OLD...is there anyone on earth that would still believe that a computer will send out error messages willy nilly and that somehow a Microsoft tech is just sitting there waiting to help out. How would Microsoft get your phone number.....reallly only the most naive soul could fall for this!
- Caller: Criminals...likely off shore
- TBGCalled over and over and OVER again! I answered the first time and went along with them tell them we use Macs not Windows, then they called five mins later where as I let them know they are calling a business not a "homeowner" and if they can stop calling. Then they called again another 5 mins later and this time I let them have it over the phone. Hopefully they got the hint. SCAM don't answer this number.

- Jack| 1 replyI really could not understand this guy, having a strong Indian accent. so I never did get the full name of the company, after asking several times. It was something-something E-Market or ERK.
I knew it was a scam, and I just drilled him with one question after another until he hung up. I also had my speaker phone on and I know it gets quite loud when I am close to the mic and I talk extra loud, because I've had family & friends tell me it even hurt their ears when I wasn't even trying. So, I know this guy with headphones on and me being extra loud, right next to the mic and drilling him with comments and questions and interrupting him, wasn't too happy or comfortable because I played "The Obnoxiously Loud American" until he finally hung up.
The main thing though, is that the 1-888-514-1650 number was only the callback number he gave. The actual number they are calling on now is 1-333-260-2212. You can refer to same comment and other people's complaints for the 1-888-514-1650 as well.- Caller: Could Not Understand

- mbSame lies from this number as posted above... caller stated (with same strong Indian accent) he is with Tech Support Department of E-Support with Windows Operating System... can see from reports from my computer that I have many Trojan infections and if I do not immediately proceed with following his instructions my computer will crash in a moment... these are not infections that my antivirus can detect, as they are already there and working to destroy my computer. So he again proceeds to give me instructions, which I simply do not follow. Instead I ask him (for the second time) for his number to call him back at a more convenient time. He then hung up. -- Beverly above, I love the whistle idea!

- Cy| 1 replyReceived a call from "Silas" with very strong Indian accent. He told me he had been receiving complaints about my computer from other people and that my computer had been sending out viruses. I told him to take me off his list and never call back. This is the 2nd time I received a call today from that number, but the first time there was no one on the line and it disconnected. Must be using a autodialer.
- BrandonThese fools just called me. I mean literally. asking for owners of computer when i said they wasn't home they ask. for my name i told them its doesnt matter my name if i am not the owner. They do speak with an accent. AND REMEMBER THIS DAY AND AGE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR COMPUTER. THEY COMPUTER WILL SHOW A MESSAGE ON SCREEN. OR IF YOU THINK ITS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR COMPUTER TAKE IT TO A PROFESSIONAL NEVER DO IT OVER THE PHONE.
SO PLEASE BE AWARE. AND DONT SO QUICK TO GIVE INFORMATION TO PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT AREA CODE FROM YOURSELF.- Caller: 0-333-260-2212

- Julia replies to CyMy aunt received a phone call last night and these scammers tricked my aunt and took over her computer and now put a virus on her computer. Jerks! Now we have to have the computer wiped. Please inform your older parents and teens not to accept these phone calls. They are scams to get information and steal money from you. As a matter of fact if you didn't call a company and some phony calls your older parents or house inform your parents and children not listen hang up the phone or don't answer. They are scam artists.
- DonOf course this is a scam. Area code 333 does not exist!

- LLoydLReceived a call from this number three different times. I finally answered the third one. It was a person with a heavy accent asking me to input some commands for my computer. I told him to hold while I booted up my computer. Then told him that my computer was coming up slow. I then told him that I was troubled with the slow boot up and since he was an IT expert maybe he could help. I told him I'd try to reboot again. Then I told him that I also have had trouble with my phone accidentally disconnecting and ask if they could be related. He told me probably. I then said not to worry because we here at Homeland Security would have his phone number and if we got disconnected I would call him back. He hung up.
- MJThis is the second call from a man named Jack with a heavy Indian accent, saying he was calling from windows security. The first time it was a bogus number like 620 that showed on called ID. This time it was this number. I said, no thanks, I know this is a scam both times.

- Al-Received call from 333-260-2212 (shows up as unavailable), answered it, guy stated name was Jeff from 1Stop eMarket in NY (there is no such business, did various searches in Google), he has a thick Indian accent, speaks very quickly, wanted to warn of Windows error messages & Internet activity possibly allowing viruses to come on computer. Jeff said if I'm in front of computer, he can walk me through how to get rid of any viruses as a free consult. I said I have no need of services, please put number on the do not call list, he hung up.
-This was not the 1st call I received, calls about every couple months or so, sometimes 1x/month, same voice, same thick Indian accent speaking very quickly, company & name stated is bit different sometimes.
-Thanks to those who posted about this number, finally I decided to try looking up this number & found all these postings, decided to add mine. Agreed, it's a scam for sure, don't give any info to this guy.- Caller: Unavailable

- JMO replies to JMOAnother call today...but am unable to block...that usually means they are spoofing the number or some other such lowlife thing. So this time I gave them a #### which hopefully tells their auto-dialler that this is a non-number.
Can't understand how they keep going with the scam...particularly when the homeowner has made it clear they know it is a scam.
I liked someone's idea about answering the phone: "Apple Store. How may I help you?" - LKI'm getting calls too -- Ross at the Technical Department of One Stop ERK 1-888-514-1650 headquarters -- NY. I asked him "do you know what kind of computer I have?" He ansewered "I think you have a Windows Computer." Good guess!
how do we make it stop? I'm getting calls on multiple phone numbers.- Caller: One Stop ERK
- CateCTThanks to sites like these, I was able to be forewarned about 333-260-2212 which call came in on my cell phone. I ignorerd it when they called yesterday. When they called today, I picked up and said hello. In a thick India accent they said is this Ms. _____. [They had my last name too!] I said yes. I said who is calling? He said Cyrus from Tech Support regarding a virus on my "home" computer. I responded I don't have a home computer. And, the guy hung up. BEWARE! SCAMMER!
- MacGirlHi Mr. James from esupport life! I hope you enjoyed the conversation with me as much as I did. I kept you on the phone long enough to record it AND send it to authorities for further investigation. The number 888-514-1650 is legitimate, and is being spread all over the internet. Hoping you enjoy many annoying phone calls to come. Oh, by the way, my screen really didn't say what I told you it said. It actually said, "Get a F,,,ing life or go shoot yourself!"

- FlippinsweetdudeCaller claimed to be from MS. Said I had some errors on the computer, when 'they' did a system update.
I said, "that was interesting, as I only use Linux operating system."
We argued for a minutes about how stupid his trick was, then he hung up on me. - MSCompany has called three times today and has not left a message.
