- I was waiting...How stupid can these people be to keep using the same number over and over? It's showed up at my house a couple times, and I'd already read these strings when it rang again tonight. "Allen" told me how my computer was downloading infections, etc. I played along for about 10 minutes before I told him I knew he was a scam and then insulted his mother.

- r morgankeep getting calls from Indians (they stated he was authorized from the Indian government) concerning a refund for eMarket for $269. Two numbers have called 700-124-6132 and 661 748 0240 (Skype call). All they wanted was access to my computer.
They had my address from 13 years ago.
Very strange.- Caller: APC
- suzy replies to JackI just received a call from the 1-767-275-9061. That is the number that showed up on my caller I D. The very strong Indian scent man said his name was Dan and he was calling from E Support Life on behalf of Microsoft. That my computer was causing Microsoft a problem. Anytime I downloaded anything at all the computer dumped a bunch of information into Microsoft's main frame. (Like thats going to happen from little ole me.)
So I knew it was a scam. He said he needs me in front of my computer to do some thing. I told him I was where I could get to my computer. He said they would wait this was my time slot. I asked if i could call him back realizing it was a scam i wanted imformation from him. Then he gave me a phone number of 1-888-514-1650. The caller then said he would talk to me when i called back. I then found this web site. So i tried calling the numbers back. The 767 number was not a working number. And when i called the 888 number it was a message thst the nect available agent will be right with me. It said that over and over about 30 times and then the phone went to disl tone. So yes this is a scam. Please stay away from people like this. Never open up you computer to anyone. I didnt thank goodness. - JrLenI too got a call from E-Support Life. Thick accent, same story as others here about Window's ISSUES and was I at My CONFUSER. Yes, this was a SPOOFING Phone call for sure. The phone is a match 888-514-1650.
I wonder how many fall pry to these SOB'S.- Caller: E-Support Life

- ontiptoeI got a call from 210-767-3298. Heavy accent. Wanted to help me "fix" my computer. He knew my Windows software had bad viruses that would cause my system to crash. He was adamant that I should follow his instructions. I just told him there was no way I was trusting him and hung up.

- Not so dumbSame deal for us. A man with a heavy Indian accent who called himself "Garrett" said he was from E Support Life saying something about how our Windows computer (What?? We have Macs - but I didn't tell him that) was going to crash at any minute and that I needed to boot it up so he could help me with it. Immediately knew it was a scam because that's just not how the world works. Anyway, I played with him a while, but got bored and eventually hung up on him. During our conversation, he said something about a mainframe server that was receiving messages from our computer indicating it was infected but that we would never know about it on our end until the unit crashed. I told him I'd just take it in if it crashed - he said it would "never work again". I said I'd just change out the hard drive - and he said, but it will "never work again" no matter what we do. Then I said I'd just buy a new computer and he didn't know what to say :)
I told him I was tired of his scam call and he gave me the 1-888-514-1650 phone number to call to check for legitimacy. <<sigh>> Of course, I'll call it for fun later when I have time. In the meantime, I'm stunned by these calls. Some people must get suckered in, otherwise they'd stop, right? Ridiculous.- Caller: E Support Life
- John NYI get them all the time and as soon as they say computer I scream "Martha they are giving us a new computer"
