- anonThey keep calling me weekly. This is harassment.
- Art replies to MckayI am not on medicaid and my tel# is not on a Medicaid list.
- DawnIt's about a medical thing, I don't even have medical coverage!
- LC| 2 repliesThis number is the UF survey research center. Like an earlier post said, they do research for all kinds of organizations in Florida. They just want opinions from people so that the services they use can be improved. There is no conspiracy. They will only leave voice messages every seven days, so sometimes a voice mail will just be dead air. They are exempt from the do not call list because they are not telemarketers. They don't sell anything. So just do the survey. It's not a big deal. However, they will only stop calling you if you pick up and say "take me off of your list" or "do not call me again." If you don't answer, or say anything else, they will keep calling you until you do the survey. Saying, "I'm not interested," or just hanging up will not get them to stop calling. So don't play games, or you will be getting another call. Stop being so difficult and just do the survey. All calls are confidential, relatively non-invasive, and you don't have to answer any question you don't want to.You don't have to be a UF student. Their website is posted underneath if you are still curious. Their number is listed there as well. Stop being crazy and paranoid.

DEMANDING THEM TO STOP CALLING MY CELL PHONE

- Susie QCalled at 2:34 pm. Caller ID said University of Florida. Message left said doing an ELD (?) survey (I think cuz male caller mumbled) and to call back. Not! After reading the comments on this blog about the number of times they call, I'm blocking it on my handy dandy Panasonic phone. And I'm not on Medicaid..

- BesiegedMy cellphone call ID says the number is from Gainsville. The company or person name is Unavailable. I did not pick up. The caller left a message stating he is calling on behalf of the Florida Department of Health (but neglected to add that he is calling from the University of Florida Survey Center in Gainsville). Caller says it is in regard to an 'important study in the health and tobacco use in Florida residents'. He asked me to call back at 888-536-2434 at my convenience or they would call back. I don't do surveys. I don't smoke. I don't appreciate the intrusion.

- Largo Again replies to LargoI blocked them but they still keep calling...Will they ever give up??????

04/02/2017 @ 5:33 PM - A.D.I have recieved several calls from this number 352-392-2908 that I did not answer. The first was last week when a young female left a message about a university of Florida survey and asked me to call back. I have not called back but now it has turned into phone harrassment as they continue to call and I do not answer. I am mailing a letter of complaint to Dr. W. Kent Fuchs the President of the University of Florida University of Florida Gainesville, FL. 32611. If he gets enough letters it will stop.

- NA replies to MckayHIPPA laws are in place to keep personal information from being sold for survey purposes. Yes it is a violation, yes I have turned it in, and yes I do have the resources because I work with health insurance daily. Be careful answering calls, and do your research before just posting message... FYI they are calling all states not just Florida. Medicaid, Medicare, and other government programs have their own resources. A random school wouldn't be calling.
- momsieFYI - it is 2018 and they are still at it - this is first time that they called us, and they called the land line, not cell phone. Glad I have a call blocker!!!

- Irritated replies to LCI'm not in Florida. So why would they keep badgering me?
- Mary| 1 reply1). I don't live in Florida.
2). I don't get Medicaid, never have, nqor any other governmental support.
3). No real official would identify themselves as belonging to a generic "department of health," with no state, county or city, or other specifics.
4). They couldn't possibly have gotten anyone's numbers from a governmental agency anyway, even if any of us did receive support from one, because it's private information that is illegal to share outside their agency.
5). Wouldn't be surprised if they were aiming to get our social security numbers.
The kid gave an Italian sounding first name only, claimed to be from "The Department of Health." I said "no,you're not, you're a scammer." He whined "yes I am!" I hung up.
I got Consumer Cellular three months ago, the worst service and cell phone I've ever had and I won't be with them for much longer. I transferred my phone number to them. I've had my cell number for more than a decade and never got a scam call on it before I got Consumer Cellular, and now I get a ton of scam calls, and both their phone and their service are horrible. It started almost immediately after becoming their customer.- Caller: Scam call "department of health"
