I received a call this morning from this number. They called before 9 on a Saturday morning. How can they get away the auto dailing and calling too early?

I received a call from this number this morning, unlike you guys I have researched it, Pacific Telecommunications, In Stanwood, WA, With phone service thru Verizon Northwest Inc, WA
I like the rest of us am sick of the invasion of privacy and alos think there is little done to prevent do I think they have ever checked the do not call list, NO, but you can sue them for not doing so in Small Claims Court.

I went ahead and answered and got a recorded message stating they were doing a survey on the current political situation.  If I agreed to answer the questions I would receive a free weekend trip.  I then hung up.

have called me probably 10 times in last 2 weeks.  5 times stayed on line, hit 1, talked to live person, asked why they were calling a private number on do not call, every time, the person hung up.  Would love to know address of the owner of this business, and get people in that area to honk outside their house all night....

Looks like this is an active scam just going by the number of posts here in a couple of days. They're looking for your credit card info, so they can charge things to your account. They're crooks, plain and simple, which is why they ignore the Do Not Call list. The real shame is that the phone companies allow such things to go on (spoofing caller ID, no call block service, etc.). I finally bought a telephone that has its own block list.

I have recieved this call not just from this number but it is the same group.  It is a recording stating this is your last call to reduce your credit cart interest press one to speak with someone and two if you no longer want to receive these calls, however give us two weeks to cease them.  Well, this time I hit one.  Since it has been a year and the calls have NEVER stopped.  I spoke with a man it is the same man I've spoke with before.  I was very cordial so he wouldn't think I was being a threat, hoping he would give me more information.  I asked him,  I've tried many times to stop these calls, Could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong.  The son of a [***], excuse my language, but I despise these calls and they always call at dinnertime. but I hate rude people just calling to harrass you.  I have been told in the past if you can get the address where they come from you can send in writing that they are not to contact you in any way be it by phone, letter, at my place of employment or my home.  You have been warned you are now on the do not call list and I will take this as far as I can if you call again.  Just, telling you my story.  Of course I can't get an address out of these people.  Nobody will even speak to you in person.  If anybody has any advice let me know.  Pissed of in NH

No matter what even if you don't answer they don't stop.  There are laws to protect us I will find out just what we can do and let you all know.  I am tenacious and will not stop till I get that creep that hangs up the minute you speak.  OOOOOO I"M MAD  LOL

That is what they say to me also.  What is the purpose of this.  You can either refuse calls so they say by pressing 2 or speak to someone by pressing 1 and then they hang up.  So what is this.  I have to take it to the right agency.  I'm pisssed

Unbelievable. This is the second time I've gone through 30 blocked calls. I'd really like to forward all these obnoxious calls to a congressman somehow and watch how fast they shut these b4st4rds down. My next phone will have unlimited call blocking,...if there is such an animal.

I'm listing the type of call as telemarketer even though I did not pick up. If there was a "Call Type" listing for scumbag I would choose that. Although that's being kind.

There's a loophole in the "Do Not Call" list registry. It is legal to call you for a survey or to ask for a donation. Here's the actual list of exceptions:
   The registry only applies to residential lines, not to business lines.[6]
   A person may still receive calls from political organizations.
       The organization Citizens for Civil Discourse has lobbied Congress to close this loophole by developing a National Political Do Not Call Registry where voters can register their phone numbers and ask politicians to take the "Do Not Contact Pledge". Its database is not backed by the force of law and as of November 2008, only 3 politicians running for office signed the pledge.[7]
   A person may still receive calls from not-for-profit organizations.[8]
   A person may still receive calls from those conducting surveys.
   A person may still receive calls from companies with which he or she has an existing business relationship for up to 18 months after his or her last purchase, payment, or delivery from it, unless person specifically asks the company not to call again.
   A person may still receive calls from a company up to 31 days[9] after submitting an application or inquiry to that company, unless the company is specifically asked not to call.
   A person may still receive calls from bill collectors (either primary creditors or collection agencies). These callers are, however, regulated by other laws, such as those limiting them to calling during "reasonable hours." Some creditors may not call debtors who file for bankruptcy protection.

I received this call today, even after several times of requesting to be removed from their do not call list.  We need to figure out how to stop this collectively.  Is the FCC letting us down?  Those of you who have used an air horn, has the company called you back again?  Maybe I will purchase one of these.  There has to be a way.  The particular organization is very annoying.  I receive the call at least once a month.  It is always right near early evening (5 to 7 PM).  It is some type warning related to my credit card.  Dear someone - help us!!!

got unwanted call on 6-4-12.  Said "This is the last courtesy call we will make to you.  We have tried to contact you several times regarding your credit card debt.  This is the last time you can get a reduced rate...."   THEN I HUNG UP.  DO NOT PICK UP PHONE FROM THESE FAKERS AND YES, I AM ON THE "DO NOT CALL" REGISTRY.

They keep calling because they are overseas & don't care about the DNC.  Don't answer the phone.  Don't press 1. You'll just confirm there is an actual person at the other end of their line & will cause them to call you even more.

Scammers gotta scam.

Seeing above that the call is probably originating from overseas tells me that there is little that the FCC can do about it.  Too bad.  What a nuisance.

exactyly same scam. I pressed 1 to talk and got a man who I asked what company are you. he hung up. i am also on do not call. this has to stop. America is a SCAM country.

Don't even respond to this. It's a phishing scam to confirm your number so it can be sold as a part of s list.
The same message is rotated in a few different numbers. I've reported them every time to the NDNCL, please do the same.

There is a Do Not Disturb Option that allows you to route calls to voice mail or have a message played.  You can select a time window, and number of days (up to 365 days).  I selected 4:00 to 7:30 PM as this is when most of the political and request for donation calls come in.  Let's see if it works.  I also added 10 numbers that can ring through during this window.

2. Incoming Call Block ON
I added this number to the listing (my first one).  As other unsolicited calls appear, I will add them to the list.  Up to 10 numbers are allowed.

3.  Finally, I decided to unlist and unpublish my telephone number for the $3.50 monthly fee.  My privacy is important.  It will take time for the number to disappear from lists, but gradually it will.

I just received a call from them and did answer. I listened to their message and pressed 1. A foreigner answered right away and I asked him why they keep promising me that they will not call again and they keep calling? I am sorry to report that he hung up. Next time I think I will keep him on the line a nice long time by acting as thought I am interested.   It was Card Services again calling from the above number and using that number to id themselves on my caller ID.
