I received a voicemail  from a number that came up as 3009 so naturally I didn't answer. After checking the VM it a female Indian voice stated FBI had issued an active arrest warrant that would be in place by 11 am tomorrow morning and that I had until 8pm tonight to contact Attorney David A Williams from Walch & Peters LLP. I was first questioning myself as to what could I have done. LOL then thought well i'm sure if the FBI wanted me, they know exactly where I live. Duh!!!

After FOUR MONTHS of harassment, (literally, over 30 calls every day, from different numbers each time, even called my work number), from "Americans" with *THE* thickest accents I've ever heard, were totally ignored by me, (refuse to answer), I get this email today:

    Good Morning.

.....I didn't realize the FBI was so warm and fuzzy, and that they would send me advance notice of pending arrest...LOL!!

I have to laugh at this point, because if I don't, I'll scream.  They have all of my personal information, (which is terrifying), and the calls are still so numerous after months that I am going to have to change my phone number.  They're based out of India using VOIP technology, so really there is no legal recourse for us here in the US, which I think is *the* most frustrating part by far.

Just wanted to let others know you're not alone, this is a huge scam, and they're clearly still pulling it.  Don't answer the calls, and don't respond to the emails.  If you do either, expect the volume of both to double immediately following.

I contacted the FBI office in Washington, DC and spoke with an agent who noted (1) warrants are not served via email and (2) a lot of people have contacted the FBI regarding this exact scam.  He informed me to report the information and disregard the notice.  I spoke with this Steven Johnson person who was unwilling to talk until I stated I would be able to pay a down payment.  Afterwards, he was full of conversation.  Don't  send any money to these people because it is definitely a scam artist at work.

Thank you for posting your comments because when you first get the EMail it is very scary. I received the exact same EMail as you and a while back I received numerous Harassing phone calls. The scammers make you feel so paranoid that you kind of begin to think that they might even monitor comments of the people who know and comment on their scams. I hope that somehow the FBI helps put a stop to this scam.

The emails states from the fbi but then has some law firms name and a number which i called and no one picked up nor did it have an answering service which all law offices do and fbi dont send emails,  if a warrant a police officer or sherrif would come to hand it and way before the warrent ups or fedx would have delivered letters that inform of a case being brought to court then a warrent to go to court and so on, definitely a bogus.

Ditto here.  I called them after the 1st email and the person wanted to know who my attorney was and I told them my husband (lie).  He immediately hung up on me.  Just received another email today stating it was from the FBI. I had already looked up that it was a scam, but called anyway.  I just wanted to mess with them.  I told them that I was filing a complaint with the real FBI.  "Steven Johnson" laughed and asked if I pulled that info out of my --------(female organ), and proceeded with many other obscenities.  I just listened and laughed.  He said the FBI can chase me in my Lamborghini.  He ended the call with "die mother f---er."  The swearing sounded like a child who had just heard the words, but didn't know what context to use them in.  Well, except for the last part.  I did file a complaint with the real IC3 division of the FBI.  I don't think anything will come out of it.  These people move things around too much to actually get caught.  It's a shame.
