This is indeed a scam, especially when  I paid off all my credit cards and terminated them when I retired from the Navy in 2006.  Also, they are obviously using an auto-dialer that is not based in the US at all.  It is the only way that they can get around the National Do Not Call List.  Whatever you do, do not give them the time of day or any information!

If he told you that he represented Account Services, LLC, then it is a collection agency that is calling.  Here is the information:

Send them a "Cease, Desist, and Verify" letter via registered mail with return receipt.  Once they receive it (and they have to sign for it and you'll have proof they did) they cannot call you and have 30 calendar days under the FDCPA to show ORIGINAL documentation of whatever debt they are trying to say you owe.

Also, if they present themselves as "Card Holder Services" to help you lower your interest rates, that is misrepresentation and a Federal crime under the FDCPA.

This is a scammer trying to fraudulently acquire your private financial information. Beware!

Called cell.  No message!

I got my first one on my cell this morning. They didn't leave a message.

They called and u did not answer so they kept calling and then i finally answered and asked me for my asked me for my adress adress and credit card information so i hung up.. These are scammers, put them on your caller block list or just ignore their calls

Keep calling my cell and won't stop, even after I told them to remove me from their lists. Morons.

Got a call from this number today. Pressed one to talk to someone. A gentlemen answered and asked if I wanted lower rates. I said I wanted to know what info they had of mine since I don't own a card. I was hung up on.

This is an absolute scam! They have been calling me for a few months, about once a week. The first couple times I didn't pick up. One day, I'd had enough and pressed 1 to talk to someone. I've asked them about 4 times to stop calling me. When you do that, they hang up on you. Today, I asked if they could give me the name and address of their company. The b*tch hung up on me (surprise!). Like everyone else has described, I get a busy signal when I try to call them back. I reported them to donotcall.gov and will do so each time I get another call.

When I answered it said 3 way call. I don't know if I got scammed into allowing 2 other people to continue the call after I hung up....on my bill! I will be researching this with my carrier.
