We have two lines into our home (one is for our business) and we received calls from this number on both phones on the same night.  No one was on the other end when we picked up the phone.  I, like others googled the phone number to find it listed here.

I keep getting calls from the 401-427-0929. Every time I tell them I am on the do not call list and they tell me oh sorry we will remove you from our list and not call again, and guess what suprise 5 days later they call again I called  FTC and file a complaint 1-877-382-4357 and filed a complaint.

I got a call from this number early in the afternoon.  Strong accent.  A man said something quickly that I didn't understand, and then started asking me questions.  He asked me if there were smoke detectors in our home.  If we checked the batteries often.  If they made a loid noise when there was smoke.  Then he asked what my greatest fear was, a fire, soemone breaking into our home, etc.  That's when I hung up.  It freaked me out a bit.  I decided to call back.  When I did I got a message stating that the person I called has a voice mail bax that has not been set up yet.  That is the same message I used to get when my husband and I did not have our voicemail box set up on our prepaid cell phone.  Something here is not right.

ANswered after two rings but there was no one on the line.

Well that is pretty childish to play a joke on someone talking about something as serious as a break-in or fire.  Your loss I guess huh? They are a legitimate company and I have been with them forever.  So they are doing right by my eyes.

Safe and Secure

I am just here to tell you guys that I just recently got the system and I have had no problems with it at all. They are a legitimate company and everyone I spoke to was very kind and helpful. They are not like ADT trying to get all of this extra money out of your pocket when they get to the house.  All I pay is $32.99 per month, and it is what they say it is about a dollar a day.  It has never gone up in price and I think that is more than reasonable price to have my family and my home protected. I cant even get a coffee for a dollar a day anymore. Go figure!

If I were to 'need' a security system, I will contact a REPUTABLE company myself.  I don't need to be solicited if I am on the do not call list.

Glad to see some folks are happy with their service, but to me, it's not good service if I get called at odd hours, or no one replies when you do answer the phone and they IGNORE my request (and break the law) to refrain from calling me.  It's harassment, anyway you look at it.

My parents have received several calls a day.  They've told them to stop.  It's insane that these people choose to break the law - all in the name of 'security.'

Multiple calls from the same number, some of which show up as blocked.  Same M.O., Indian caller, VMS Security, for a GE Security system.  Multiple times I've told them to stop calling, I'm on the Do Not Call list, and they keep calling.  Filed FTC complaint today after reading this list.

Got a call from this number today, 12/31/08, around noon.  My # is also on the no-call list.

No one on the other end.  I just filed a complaint on-line at http://www.donotcall.gov, takes only a few moments.

Looks like the replies above with good things to say about the company are all shills. Notice how they

To the shill: this is not the way to obtain business.  Nobody likes these calls.

I've gotten several calls from this number; but, since I don't recognize it, I let it go to my Voice Mail.  However, there is NEVER a message left in the Voice Mail.  Also, no Caller ID when the number rings in, just the number

This number has called a few times and never leaves a message. When I returned the call a recording indicates number is not in service.

This call came in at 4:35 PM and the male was very broken up and say hello hello

Approxmately 4:18 p.m. on 01/28/2009 I recieved a call from 1-401-427-0929.  The lady was not born in the USA , sounded Indian. She told me I won a $1200.00 security system. I started asking her questions such as what was her name and where was she calling from. She put a man on who also had a heavy Indian accent.
I ask where was he calling from he said Rhode Island. I ask for his name he said David. I told him he did not sound like a David to me, more like a Amed. I ask for his phone number he said (I think) 656-367-8195. He proceeded to give me a spiel about a home security system. I told him I did not need one and he replied "Sorry to bother you" and hung up. He said his company name, sounded like Sonitlonix but I am not sure.

This organization calls at least once a day.  Identifies themselves as VMS Alarms, and even though it's identified as a law firm, goes into the spiel.  Hung up.

It seems..."something about me being selected in the past for some security system but it wasnt installed. I remember getting these calls in the past and they were just so sickening because everyone stumbled over their words and was reading word for word from a script but I remember this one individual because of his personality. He is someone that I wouldn't mind talking to on the phone and him promoting something to me because he seems like the type who's always happy, loves his job, and a go-getter!. I think this Ryan character is something special and should be recognized and if anyone else gets a call from him, they should be astound and just listen to the promotion cause he knows what he is talking about and definately can brighten up your day. If I had the money, I'd invest in only monitoring fee for only about $1/day.

i used to work for this company, and they do not outsource their employees. Actually, a legal U.S. citizen with an accent called you from PROVIDENCE RI, just as they claim. Inside the office, you will find many people with different backgrounds...as this is America and we are a country made of mixed culture.

it sucks that you got the phone call when you are on a do not call list, but it sucks even more to know that judgmental and ignorant people like you do not take the time to think that just because somebody has an accent and there is background noise, they aren't outsourced or your enemy.
