Received a call on my landline from this number. They left no message but the Caller ID said it was from Patrolmens. Not sure if it is a telemarketer or scammer but either way, I'm blocking this number!

People have reported that this is an automated caller.  I will add these facts:

The "402" area code refers to Nebraska.  CharityNavigator.org has 73 listings for charities with the name "Patrolmens".  None of them are in Nebraska.

Also, at least one contributor kept the caller on the line long enough to find that they claim to be the National Patrolmens Foundation.  CharityNavigator.org lists no such entity.

If you want to contribute to the families of police officers who have died in the line of duty, call the local police station and ask what charitable organization they would recommend.

calls several times a week never leaves a message. one more scam,like the rest.

Didn't answer. Caller ID has a large space between the city and state, which is a dead giveaway that the call is coming from a robocalling call center staffed with sewer rats looking to scam anyone who answers the phone

They called. I answered. They hung up.

Call from "PATROLMENS" .. Did not pick up. Blocked number

on the answering machine they asked how we were today. if I receive a call from the same number too many times  in a row, I will answer with my airhorn.

Just received another call from this telephone number. Same story as before.

Omaha NE. Said hello a few times. Caller was on a delayed line(long pauses). Claimed to be from the Previous & wanted to know if they could count on my donation of they sent & envelope. This IS a spoofed #. I can tell for a fact this is A SCAM!

Have received many calls from this number, but to day they left a message that said "the number dialed could not be made, please hang up and try again... beep, beep, beep..." The beeping went on for several minutes. Number now blocked.

AWAY!  No one is going to speak with you.

Caller stated that they are collecting for injured or fallen police officers and their families. Then he stated that they will mail me an envelope to mail them back my  donation. I stated I do not donate to anyone who calls me on the phone. 99.9% of the calls I receive are scams. So no, I don't want your envelope. Thank you anyway.  Have a great day! Click, dial tone...

I'm tired of hearing my phone ring all day and night. I tried blocking them all. Reached 250 numbers blocked months ago. Doesn't stop them..they just change the number and call back again. Tried just not picking up the phone for months.

You call me with your scams your gonna get nothing. I found if your polite, they don't know how to respond. They are in shock. I Love it. So if you scammers want to waste my time, then I'll waste yours aswell.

You said you didn't pick up the phone for months, but do callers still get an answering device when they called? That'll keep them coming. I turned off my answering machine when my landline was still active and the number of garbage calls I was getting went down drastically after a while.

No I didn't turn off voice mail.
If I'm not available or not at home I still need to get my important msgs. I just go through and delete all the scam (blank or prerecorded msgs) and check for any important ones.
Wish I could just shut off phone service completely for ever. This has been going on for years. I don't think it will ever end for any of us.
Any suggestions on how to deal with scammerz?
