These idiots keep calling my house all times of early mornings and late evenings.  I have them numerous of times that the person no longer lives at the number. They claim a civil suit has been filed. They need to talk to person and perhaps prevent them from going to jail. They gave me information on the nature of the call.  I told them they were harassing me by keep calling and the "Idiot" caller slammed the phone down

The calls appears to come from Georgia, but they're actually located in Buffalo, NY. The two Georgia addresses they've used -- one in Snellville and the other in Stone Mountain -- are just rented mail boxes at a UPS Store and a Mailboxes Etc store.

If they threaten you in any way or continue to harass you with phone calls, report them to the various law enforcement agencies that are listed in my message from March 5 in this thread.  Good luck.

We received a call tonight also (from RSI )on an account that had already been charged off, paid the settlement once about 5 years ago but because I finally threw away the documentation of the charge off a few years ago( because I thought I was safe Huh)a company called claims America did this exact same thing to us unfortunately we didn't know about the scam and actually paid the charge off a second time!! Now this RSI company calls us and we tell them we have already paid, started giving the account number and who we paid it to and voila!  She even finishes the account# before my husband does and "Oh we see now that this account is closed--sorry for your inconvenience"  I called the number back a couple of times and spoke to a Simone Bradley ( if that is a real name or person even) and demanded a confirmation of this account being closed in writing and she hung up on me twice-- I managed to get in that I would continue to harass them over the phone until I get a written and signed letter.  Thank you so much ec, deb and the rest of you for the good information.  I am also going to file a complaint with the Atlant Magistrate and the FBI  and am considering a law suit to the "Claims America" to see if anything can be done there as well to recover that money I was suckered into giving them.

Told me that Chase Manhattan Bank is suing me for merchandise I received and never paid for. Told me the cops would be at my door within 48 hours. What some crap. What is the address to write to them to tell them not to ever call me again?

As you guessed, it's a scam. These crooks -- who are really based in Buffalo, NY but maintain a phone numbers and a rented mail box in Georgia -- routinely use illegal threats to extort money from their victims. You can send them a cease communication letter, but I doubt it would do any good since they've demonstrated that abiding by the law isn't high on their "To Do" list. wow, i fell for this. reggie white told me they were going to file a civil suit against me.  i got stressed out over it, too. thhank you so much for this website. my fears are now gone.

i was told that the summons would be for malacious intent to defraud a credit card, not for money since this was for a debt 9 years ago, statute of limitations does apply. what crap! i spent hours doing research after the call, the lady was extremely unproffessional and has called us before 6AM once

I received a call from out of town stating that I was being sued and in litagation and I had to call this number 404-287-0204 within 24 hrs. I received no notification of being sued in the mail, nor to what I was being sued for. She sounds foreign and had called me back multiple times. I told her I do not know what you are talking about and hung up.

As for the junk mail I allways use their self address envolopes and send them another junk mailer in it and so on let it cost them for postage

I recieved a call earlier today, this evening actually.  5:21PM and the number on the caller ID came up as "Reggie White."  (404) 287-0204.  The person calling, "Mr. Bryce, or Mr. Brice" called claiming to be "a RSI claimes processor." and in the message he left on my answering machine, proceeded to leave a "claim number" and phone number to call him back at.  Which was the number I'd listed above.  I did some research and of course see that this is total BS.  It still makes me mad, they called ME looking for a relative of MINE.....who has medical problems and this could have easily put her into a stroke or something of the sort.  I hope these [***] fry for this garbage.  Why can't they get a real job, I mean honestly?  They also claimed it was some kind of a "civil suit" being held against my family member.  They would not give any kind of info, not even where they were calling from. But they got pretty p-ssy when I asked "Well then why are you calling me from Atlanta GA?  I don't even know anyone that lives there?"  Then they got all snippy.....I'm going to leave another address of their here too that I've found in other research.  I've also seen that the phone numbers are based in GA, but the business itself is run out of Buffalo NY.  Who knows, either way, it's a bunch of crap and a scam.  This is the other address I had found.

So for 4 months we have all filed complaints and these crooks still operate.  They comtinue to do this to more people.  Why does law enforcement or the DA's step in?  When you look back they also were doing this out of GA before now, NY.  Why is this?  Where is our protection?

I got a call about 530pm every day for three days, (i was at work but called them on the third call) the first call saying I needed to contact them ASAP or I would be sued. Second call said i had 48 hours and the last saying I had 24 hours or I would be sued. They called my brother and told him I was in trouble with the law and was being sued and where could I be found. They also asked where I could find my grandmother (who had Alzheimers for the past 15 years before she passed) They told my brother I listed her and him as contacts. I never have. How do they get their names? I have a unique last name so I was thinking maybe those with unusual names are targeted? Otherwise how do they know to call your relatives? Anyway I was scared to death. My dad found this site and I thank all you for writing your experience with these deadbeat druggies too!! Im so relieved its not real!! Thanks for reporting and putting me and others minds at ease!!

By the way, for those still getting these calls, I finally told them that they were in violation of the law for giving private info about me not only on my machine but to my family, they have not called for two days now so maybe something to try? Know your rights and fight back!! Seems they run when they hear YOU say your filing a complaint!
