Just another annoyed DNC Registry user who keeps getting these calls.
I registered a complaint with the DNC several times.  Obviously it doesn't do any good.
 
I'll have to try pressing 1 if I ever get the call when I'm home.  Sounds like it doesn't do any good to complain so maybe I'll try setting up an appointment and giving them a bogus address like others suggested.  Maybe if they get enough bogus addresses it won't be cost effective to keep doing this.

They are now calling from this number pulling the "grandma scam."  They call with the name of a grandchild claiming to need money wired to Atlanta.  Scary- they had the grandkid's right name!!  But definitely the wrong voice.  Claimed to have a cold.  BEWARE!

customer service: heading , I did not pick up, then there was a message indcated was left. I checked with my voice mail and it was a hang up click.

This number called my home phone which is in the Do Not Call Registry. Message said they were offering a carpet-cleaning deal. I don't even have any carpets!

this is the first time from the 404 number - but have had carpet cleaners in the past who kept calling despite asking to have number removed - finally talked to someone who answered - to get on their do not call list they needed my credit card number to - yeah right

AH HA!!!!  I've GOT IT!  After MONTHS of calls - I found a # where you actually get someone at "Mike's Carpet Cleaning"!!!  CALL THEM EVERYONE!!!!!  I say we turn the tables. The # is 214-382-7533

I've reported them about 3 times already.  Just received another call.  I agree with the previous poster, if anyone knows who this is, we should tie them to a post in the center of the square and ask everyone to come and "deal with them".

What use is Do Not Call?

Recorded message says it's a carpet cleaning company. I pressed 1 to talk to a representative. This was followed by silence, then some clicks, then a message from the phone company to hang up.

I've been getting these about once a week for several months.

The carpet cleaning business solicits business that they sub out to a local company. I have told them to take my name off their list on numerous occasions. I have call protection but they somehow get through using this number.
I am trying to get more info for a nuisance law suite and invasion of my privacy suite.

Call from 404-335-7149 - recorded message to sell carpet cleaning....I don't have carpets!! The recording says to press "9" to be removed from the calling list, and when "9" is presses the recorded message says "this is an invalid entry." Typical! I recalled the number and was instructed to press "1" to be removed from the calling list...confirmed my entry; we'll see....

The next time this carpet cleaning calls I will make an appointment and who ever shows up at my home will be in for a surprise he will not forget.

Infuriating

The recording says to enter "9" to be removed from the call list. However when you press "9" the message plays again.

Rec'd call from these people on March 4th, 2009 @ 12:10 PM MST, March 30th, 2009 @ 4:15 PM PST, & April 10, 2009 @ 1:40 PM PST.

The recording says they are my carpet cleaning company.  I haven't used a carpet cleaning company since I've moved to AZ and my phone number is on the DNC.

On March 30th when they called I pressed 1 and a woman answered and then h/u right away.  On April 10th when they called I pressed 1 and a woman answered and asked if I wanted to make an appointment.  I said yes, then she asked me for my zip code, I didn't have any fake info in front of me to provide so I thought I would try to get some info out of her, and I told her not to hang up, which of course is what she did.

Next time they call I'll provide them the address to the police station like Rob did.

Someone else noted that the correct button to push to be removed is "8" even though the recording says to press 9.

Personally I don't think it would make a difference.  This company is clearly a scam anyway and I doubt they actually take the time to remove your number.  The reps are probably not even capable of doing so.

Every time I try to hit the option to have them remove my phone number it's "8" btw not "9" as the recording says, nothing happens and I just get another call.  And if I try to speak to a rep to get info from them on who they are why they are calling me they just h/u on me.

When I pressed 0 to speak to an operator she said Deluxe Cleaners (the number is from Georgia) and I said I have asked you people to stop calling. Before I could finish she abruptly hung up on me. I just reported to the DNC registry.

OH MY GOD the carpet cleaning people made my carpets look so nice. i recomend that u should get ur carpets cleaned by them. best CUSTOMER SERVICE i'v ever had. such nice african people.
