they keep calling but fortunatly never answering when I pickup.  If you call them back the message instructs you to press '1' to have your number removed from their list.  Does not work at all.  They still keep calling

This is Deluxe Carpet Cleaning, based in Texas, with locations throughout the US. The caller ID number is (404) 335-7149, but the REAL phone number for them is (214) 382-7533. Mr. John Stickley, owner of the Baltimore location - (410) 741-6618 or deluxejohn@verizon.net; other locations are still unknown, because the rep refuses to give the information out.

Their unsubscribe option is a fake. I encourage you to write down dates and times of the received phone calls, and file a complaint with the FCC and BBB.

A RoboCall is a call that is anwered by a computer instead of a person when you pick up the receiver... these are illegal except for the government
4. What can I do if I receive a robocall that I think is illegal?
1) Call your local telephone company to file a complaint. You must give them the
name of who called and if possible the telephone number of the robocaller (it
may be provided in the message.)
2) Your telephone company will then tell the business that it is not following the law
and may give it some time to correct the problem.
3) If the business does not correct the use of the robocaller by the time given by the
telephone company, the telephone company can disconnect the phone line.
4) If you are not satisfied with the telephone company’s response to your robocall

I've gotten numberous carpet cleaning calls, however, I haven't kept a log of them all other than on 800notes and I haven't saved the links to all the numbers I've gotten them from.

I did get 2 calls recently however from:

One on Monday, July 6th, 2009 @ 4:27 PM PST, and on Friday July 10th, 2009 @ 10:09 AM PST.

Both times I tried to call the number back and both times I heard a pre-recorded message stating the number was disconnected.

It's no secret that the phone companies are working hand in hand with the scum sucking telemarketers and assigning them new numbers so that they can't be tracked. In this case they must have sold this number to a new scammer because  I just got a Robo call from a company that said that they could lower my VA mortgage. (I don't have a VA or any other mortgage!)  I've gotten exactly this same call many times in the past and I contacted them directly and found that ALL of the calls are from a finance company in Gathersburg (sp?)Maryland. They were friendly and co-operative and said that their numbers were pre-selected and they didn't know why I was being called if I didn't have a mortgage. They promised to take my name and number off their list but they couldn't say where they got their list from so had no control over their source adding my name back onto the list. Obviously they got a new lists and my name is back on it since I got a call from them today.  Obviously, these people ARE NOT scrubbing their lists against the Do Not Call list!

  Strangly, even though the call was about lowering my VA mortgage payments, the name on the caller id said "Insuranceco". Maybe these folks are also running an insurance scam!

have a father home with aphasia & alzheimers and these calls are completely stressing him out!
i agree they should be tied to a post & shot!..or worse, have their most loved one aflicted....no, i dont even wish this on them

I don't know what this company is. They call incessantly and never leave a message. Once, I answered the phone, a few months ago and told them to STOP calling. Yet, to date they continue to call at least a few times every week. HOW do I get them to stop?

We get repeated calls from this number and have REPEATEDLY called back and asked that our number be deleted from their list.  Nothing changes.  We get numerous calls every day of the week!!!!!!  We want it stopped!!!

We want these calls from this number STOPPED!

Caller Id says Insurence Co, no message!

I get a call a day from this company, (today it was listed as INSURANCECO on my caller ID, but often it is Unknown or Private)  starting with "Attention VA mortgage holders.."  and continuing on about how I can reduce my VA mortgage to 4% and skip two payments.  I don't have a VA mortgage so that is Clue #1 that this is a scam.  The caller gives the option to press 1 to speak to a representative, or press 2 to be taken off the call list.  Pressing 2 has NEVER taken me off the call list yet.  Pressing 1, and asking their representative to take me off their call list ends either with rudeness, or them hanging up on me.  

Can someone tell me HOW I can stop these infernal calls?

I have received many calls from this number. I keep telling them to remove my name from the list but they are not doing that. Each time the call comes in it comes in with a different name and sometimes the same name with a differant number but the message is always the same, "Good news for all VA home owners".....

We have been receiving numerous calls from this number about a VA mortgage.  We do not have a VA mortgage althoug we are military retirees.  we have called teh number back several times to have our number removed but the calls keep coming.  If you get a live person and tell tehm about not having a VA mortgage they just hand up!

Call from 404-335-7149 but my caller ID says "InsuranceCo"; Wish telemarketers would look up their own number and lets all remember to file complaints at Donotcall.gov
