I got a missed call from this number at 2:45 pm (pacific time), and called back because I recognized the area code (Georgia), since I have some acquaintances there. It turned out to be disconnected. I wonder if they (scammers) expect us to call back, but what good will it do to them? This was their first attempt; I hope it won't happen again.

Just was called by this number. I live in California, but have a Utah cell phone. I didn't pick up since I didn't recognize the caller.

I just received a call at 11:56am on my cell phone from this number.   I figured it was another vendor, and I hate solicitations so I didn't answer.  My cell is my business #. I googled the number, and found this place.

I didn't try to call back or anything. I hope this was a one time thing,a nd I don't get repeated calls like some of the above posters.

Also I forgot to add. I am in Detroit Michigan, and my phone is registered here as well.

I received a call from this number. The person calling made a comment at a later date that he had received the phone number from someone that said it was a number to use to make free long distance phone calls. Sounds like part of a scam.

Complete fraud and scam activity ! Caller from this number used credit card transactions reported as fraud. Used and called on several other phone lines. with several other caller ID's

My husband's ex, who lives in Europe, has been harassing us constantly for the last couple weeks, normally this number is what shows up, saying that it is a call from Atlanta, GA.  This leads me to believe that she was using a calling card, and after doing some research, it appears this company is based in GA or at least routes overseas calls to that number in Georgia.  Those of you who are getting telemarketing calls are probably getting calls from companies using calling cards as well, just as someone said earlier, since you are unable to trace where the number originated from.  So, I suggest that you answer the first time, maybe a friend or relative is overseas trying to call you while they're on vacation. Recently I've been getting calls from (442)074-4937, originally I thought it may be someone with the possible new area code in California (so says wikipedia), but after researching on this site, I've come to realize it's a British number (44)207-45937 (the last two numbers didn't show up on my caller id--it always cuts off), more than likely a calling card as well, so as a tip to the rest, if you ever get a call and can't locate the area code, it may be an overseas prefix.

Im from the Pocono Mountains..north east pennsylvania...this number calls every few day's....make it stop...i hear voices...haha...anyway...it's very annoying...

Im from the Bay Area. Ive been getting calls from this phone number for the past week. Hella wack. I dont even wanna bother to pick it up or call the number back.

I am not happy.That this number,is not the only one I have been receiving calls from.On my cellphone,no less.How do they get ones cellphones number?Its an invasion of privacy.

A call came in with this number on the caller ID at 2:41 a.m.  My phone ringer was off so I didn't hear it.  Reading the posts below I wonder if the Nigerians have figured out a new way to conduct their fraud schemes.  That is one evil country!

I got a call from this number too.  I didnt recognize the number...so i checked google.  it called again, and it was my boyfriend from south america.  he was calling from his cell phone.  So...i think that if somebody is making a long distance call...it may sometimes have to pass through this operator.

Just got a call from this number from Atlanta, GA. I did answer it and it sounded like one of those foreigners from Nigeria. Could not speak English. I did hang up on him.

I get these kind of e-mails all the time. Why can't the fraud department track them down. Does anyone know of an e-mail address for forwarding these kind of e-mails to where they can shut these people down?

i got this call at 3:05 in the morning... i called but no one answers

First call came in a couple of nights ago on my cell phone -- didn't pick up because of the strange number but they did leave a message, spoken about a hundred words a minute dispursed with what sounded like a mix of latino phrases and english ("chicita Amelia, this is an important call!").  I thought because of the last four numbers it was a phone from a pen/jail (not that I know people there and I don't know why that has been nagging at me). Recieved another call with background noise, no voice.  I thought that I would try to record the voiced message and play back at half speed. I am at the other end away from LA, CA.

i got a call from this number at 5 in the morning. then i got a call from this number on my brothers phone as well a few minutes later.

oo and both of us are in northern CA
