News flash kids.... this is a scam. Where shady people try to trick unsuspecting hard working folks. Learn the format of how ambiguous/stupid they are and don't fall for it. Professional ("lagit") debt collecting agencies are always forth coming with information. Duh.

A woman called me from this dam number telling me they have a federal case against me n I need to call her back or I will he locked up. I think Thu is funny as hell they can play other pro by cant play me. Its against the law to call someone over the phone to collect money. Nice try block these numbers.

I too have received calls from this number as well. At least 4 times over the past two days. They are saying that they are representing some federal media law??? and need to serve me or my legal rep. Have had similar calls in the past and have never responded. The scammers are getting smarter and smarter. I had calls a while back with the caller id coming up as emergency 911. Pretty clever. I will never call these numbers back and just keep blocking them!

Just received my second call from these jerks. Couldn't remember from the first message but this call confirmed it. She never mentioned my name one time.

The message starts out with "...set an appointment" then it kicks over & starts again: "My name is Sahlen Toko & I'm with the 'Bureau of Investigation', NOT  'Federal' Bureau, mind you, just the Bureau, Legal Mediation Unit  (whatever THAT is). I'm calling to set up an appointment with you."

What follows is a great spouting of official-sounding nonsense like  you need to have "your retainment attorney of record", etc. WTF is *that*?!? "Or else we will  submit your case to the 'Authorities' for 'Processing'"

She speaks incredibly fast and in a monotone so unless you replay the message several times things like the missing "Federal" bureau of Investigation & submitting your case to the authorities for "processing" are just plugged in by your subconscious as FBI & Prosecution.

What a [***]! No telling how many thousands upon thousands of dollars they've scammed using these official-sounding calls.

Next time they call, see if your name is mentioned in the message.

I received a call from this company today with a similar message that a case would be filed against me and so forth, so I called.  The lady said I had a debt and she could offer me a settlement, blah, blah.  I asked, what's the name of your company and she said PM and Associates in Atlanta, we are new and just took over an account from a Chicago firm.  I asked what's your address and suite, she replied, you won't find us on Google, but we are part of the BBB, so I looked them up, nothing.  I really hope they nail these people to the wall.  The lady who called said she was from the Department of Investigation and Legal Mediation.  

I received a VM this morning from them also. Its threatening and a bit intimidating but what a joke. For one, I would be notified by mail if it were official. Also, who can go round up an attorney and sit for a phone call within a few hours. What a bunch of idiots. Go get a real job and quit stealing from people that try to pull their own weight!
I also have the message saved and uploaded to my fb to make others aware.

Received call this evening & when i.answered was automated recording saying his name was James & it was a federal investigation & very urgent i return the call or risk jail time & significant fines. This came after a few days of calls from 404-900-6940 from female named Allison stating a payday loan in 2012 had been paid with check for $320 that either was written on closed account or hot check. I must pay $620 by 12:30 pm est (this was at 9:30 central) or warrant would be issued for my arrest. Did receive call at 11:30 central from same 404 number but was busy & didn't answer. Then get this call after 5 pm from 786 number. When scammers are found they need to be harshly punished!!
