After my usual business greeting, caller hung up.  (The reason I post hang-up occurrences is to further inform the caller's reputation.)

Thank you so much!!  I had a feeling this was a scam.  When I asked if I could call her back she said she'll try back another day and hung up.

This is a scammer. No doubt. But the question is why the scammer knows my Hilton account number and my address. Why. Through what route.

These are folks looking to cash in on you.  They probably do work for the time-share (contract, or per person sucked in).  Get you to agree to a cheap trip somewhere.  Then require you to sit through a high pressure presentation, or pay the difference for the trip.  We've never done this, but we have sat through one of these presentations.  We couldn't believe that anyone would actually sign up for this, I mean none of it added up.  However, we saw dozens of people all but hypnotised by these sales people, getting repedative messages and actually repeating what the sales people were feeding them.

I have gotten calls from Hilton grand vacations which is I believe the resort side of Hilton, Hilton is the Parent company. I called customer service and they explained to me they call in the sales department to only offer Hilton honors member discounted getaways in return for a 2 hour timeshare presentation, I’ve never took an offer but it’s legit.

It is not Hilton, and no timeshare presentation is "legit". Timeshares are worthless pieces of real estate that suck all the money out of you. They even have a new way of getting even more money out of you called "points".

This is a scam.  I reported them to Hilton.  They try to use your points, get your member number without you realizing.  They never actually state they are from Hilton.  My sister has RCI and gets calls from the same number.
