LDTS called and told me that AT&T had switched the long distance carrier from some other group to LDTS.  The man said that in order to lower my rate, the FCC required me to agree to this switch over the phone.  He was going to ask me 5 questions.

AT&T *is* my long distance carrier so what he was saying didn't make a lot of sense.

I asked my own questions in an attempt to get him to admit that AT&T wasn't backing his call, but he persisted in saying that AT&T was.  I told him I would feel more comfortable if I called AT&T directly and he said something to the extent of "go ahead".

I called AT&T.  The customer service representative said he had never heard of LDTS and that LDTS did not represent AT&T. He did make a comment that I could switch long distance carriers if I wanted to, but I would have to agree to this with the other company.

I didn't even bother trying to see if LDTS is a real long distance company.  Even if this isn't a full scam, it is still an unethical way to gain more customers.

I recived a call from 407-520-5323 I said hello they said hello then disconect,I called the number back from my cell phone using * 67 to block my number,an automated system answered saying "thank you for calling good by "

Same story got a call from operator 4238 saying they are from Verizon saying Verizon is no longer hadling long distence in my area. The funny thing is i would have fell for this IT i did not have digital voice and i do not pay for long distence. Called Verizon and really went up the chain, they are sending this to thier fraud and patent protection group and hopfully they will do something for all of us!!!!!!!


Caller ID still shows LDTS

got slammed by LDTS..now working with my present phone company to try to fix it, have reported this to the FCC and FTC, LDTS claimed to be from AT&T wanting to change long distant carrier. I agreed like an idiot. When i talked to the FCC they called it slamming,

Got a call from LDTS, claiming to be from AT&T, came <> this close to getting sucked in. Told them i'd call them back after ii spoke to my wife, hung up, dialed my wife . the call to them was still connected and heard them say "man that guy was a freak". so i calle dup AT&T to complain since i thought it was them. AT&T looked the number up for me and informed me it was a scam company, even advised me to google the number, which i did since i'm here. If LDTS calls again, they are getting a landslide of abuse hurled down the phone at them >:(

Same M.O. as the previous postings here so I called ATT and let them know. ATT put a block for my account to prevent this slamming for free.

Also, they gave me the number for FCC to report them: 1-888-225-5322

Report them and let's get them shut down!

This number called me this morning 12-18-2010 at just before 10:00 am CST.
The call woke me up, I thought it was important, and so I answered.
A voice said "Hello sir, I'm with the phone company......." paused for a few seconds then hung up.
I could hear  a lot of other voices talking in the background.
I was so angry that I decided I would start posting on this site, I get phone calls from all over,
and I do usually look at the caller ID before I answer, however this morning I didn't.

I got a call   today from 407-520-5323 , and my ID caller shows LDTS. I was suspecious but I didn't call back . I just went to google this number and the area code. Thank you to everybody who posted their message because I found this number is scam .

This number is calling my home and after researching it it llooks like its a scam-i have not given them any info of course. Thank you!

Yep they are still at it. They just called my number and I didnt answer but after seeing all this here. I wish I would have answered lol love to turn it on these scammers.

Same story as everyone above. I called my phone company, Verizon, and they verified they did NOT make these calls. DO  NOT GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION!!

just called the FCC. They were very helpful. I suggest you all getting these calls report them. You can go to fcc.gov.

I keep recieving calls from LDTS trying to tell me my long distance at&t is being chganged, but when I ask to see this info online they hang up..I am trying to contact AT&T I am sure this is a scam. The number is 407 520 5323

I was just on the phone with a lady from this number and thanks to quickly looking on your site, while she's rattling on, I'm reading all these posts which gave me the ammunition I needed to tell her she's not with AT&T (as claimed).  She hung up!

Had a call frrom this number today, told me my long distance carrier was going out of business.  Like a dummy I fell for it, but then got suspicious and called AT&T.  It is a scam.  I now have a block on my phone that nobody change anything but me.

I received a call from this company this morning.  The woman stated that she was calling from AT&T [which is my phone campany]; however, she was looking for Juan Rivera.  I told her she had the wrong number.  After hanging up, I thought to myself, that if she was calling from AT&T, she should have known who she was calling.  I checked the caller id, and it showed up as "LDTS".  I called the number back just to make sure that it was not a slick way of switching my phone service without my knowledge.  All I got was a voice message stating that this was a solicitation company and if I wanted to take my phone number off of the calling list, to state my phone number.  I did not do that for fear that it may be another slick attempt.

I have gotten calls from this # before and told them about 3 times that I wish to be removed from their calling list, as I knew from the get go it was a scam as we don't have long distance on our phone since we just use our cel phones for that. So I was out today and when I got home, I seen they called again. So I will call them tomorrow, if I can even get thru to someone and tell them that if they call my house again, after I've told them to remove me from their list 3 times, I will go off on them. I am so tired of these companies calling my house, several times a day sometimes, when all they are is pain in the [***].

lady just called and said she was from a travel company !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she was very un professianal chewing and chomping in my ear when i told her i wasn't interested she basically told me have a nice day B***** how rude is that

LDTS long distance scam number 561-692-7952.  LDTS called me saying that Verizon is switching my long distance service to LDTS. I refused the change. I called Verizon, and they confirmed that it is a scam to get customers to verbally agree to switch their long distance service; they are not calling on behalf of Verizon.  It wouldn't have worked for me since I have FIOS Digital Service, but others should beware!

ldts is using a new number;954-376-6058 which is area code for Miami,fl and these folks get you on phone with all kinds of fast chatter that "sounds good",but it's all b/s in the end. Don't listen or say yes to anything they ask you and as a precaution,run a credit check on yourself cause if they got your phone number-what's next?
