Got a call on my cell phone from this number. Didn't recognize the number (don't know anybody from South San Francisco Bay, CA) so I didn't answer & they didn't leave a message.

Thanks to the other people who have commented on this number.  I blocked the # after they tried calling 3 times in a row just now!

Called my cell phone.  Did not answer and no message left.  I have since blocked them, however, my number is on the do not call list.  I still receive these calls.  I have one that calls and states trouble with windows.  I told them not to call repeatly, finally I told them if they do not stop I am going to turn them in for harrassing phone calls.  Have not heard from them.

Got a call from this number, didn't answer and now, thanks to all of your posts this number has joined the Auto Reject list.

Keep getting calls from 408-819-2688 I have answered and asked to be taken off their call list and they just hang up.

what happens if i pressed 1? is it okay? i didnt give them any information but they talked to me and i couldnt hear them and they just ended up hanging up.

I woke up to find this number on my caller ID of my cell phone.  They called at 8:48am my time.  This is why I leave my ringer off, except for special ringers for special people --- if you can't leave a voice mail, I don't need to talk to you.  Not only did this number (408-819-2688) call me today, another number (630-243-4887) called me two (2) days ago.  I can't understand sometimes how these jerks get the numbers in the first place.  I wish the technology was such that if you didn't call them, they can't call you.  Thanks!

We have also gotten a call from this scammer and numerous others. We have decided to unplug out phone. When a scammer calls, all they hear is endless ringing. Of course, we hear nothing. We plug the phone back in when we want to use it. Our friends and family just call our cell phones. Thankfully, the cell phones are not yet compromised.

Jerks just keep calling. .. every day!  Hang up and don't let them ruin your day.

9:00 a.m. on the dot. Did not answer; no message left.  Number is now blocked here.

I got a call again on my cell phone today from (408) 819-2688 wanting to lower my credit card interest rate to 6.9%. I thought I have some fun.  This person who I could hardly understand his broken English was telling me that I have over $3,500 on my credit card and when I asked if there was someone there who spoke proper English that I could talk to he said “no”.  He proceeded to tell m, in length, that he could lower my interest rate since I was paying on time.  I said “that be great, especially since it is Christmas and I would love to save some money.  Go ahead and change my interest rate from 0% to your 6.9%”.  He hung up.  I guess I am stuck with 0%.  Hahahaha

Got a call from this number on my cell phone at 10:30 AM, Saturday, THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS! No caller ID. Left no message. What jerks!

Called about 15:59, Jan. 11, 2016.  The usual scenario:  caller ID shows a rather generic, "Campbell      CA," so I let the answering machine take the call.  The spammer hangs up without leaving any message.

Didn't answer and no message left.  They called my cell phone.
