I said yes, he hesitated, and then hung up on me!  Odd...

I work at Apple and received this in my inbox. They were looking to sell some sort of online service. Definitely not an Apple product, obviously. Fishy.

She left an message but no name,  about an apartment remodel and that she found my number at the BBB website.
That she is calling on behalf of the owners.

The lady left a call back number (408) 783 7790
Also an Apple Inc. number
So I called.
A woman naming herself Cory (after I asked) picked up claiming she works for Les Concierges* (lesconcierges.com)
The connection was of a strangely bandwidth limited thus poor audio VoIP quality.
I asked why Apple and some smooth studied replies.

Then the lady started very gently to prod trying to get information out of me, claiming she has a client who needs a contractor for a home remodel.
After I asked some questions she claimed she can not say who etc. but had my info from the BBB website but contradicted herself by asking if I am Company A or Company B and she claimed my telephone number is obscured on the BBB site.
Duh? Da?
Ma'm, you a) called, so you have my number and b) you claim you have it from the BBB website
Duhu? All info is prominently displayed there!
I the n asked her to simply forward the BBB info to her client but she circumvented and talked over me slightly irritated.
Duh?

I then asked her politely a few simple honest questions, such as how can I know your are ho you are? Mind if I call Apple Inc.etc.,and she got rapidly irritated and hung up!
Dah! Duh?

So I went to the Les concierges website and called their number.
Again a strangely bandwidth limited thus poor audio VoIP options menu came.
Press any key and you get disconnected!

Now you go figure!

I say time to call Apple, the DA, FBI and the FCC!
