- barb| 2 repliesSame companyn - different number. They just called me again for the 2nd or 3rd time. I am on the do not call list and contacted Verizon. They are going to investigate.....for all the good that will do. This company "Credit Card Services" are scammers and I would love to see a class action law suit against these scums. They call endlessly and leave automated voice mail messages which is against the law!!!
They change their the number several times per day......I'm so tired of them harrassing me, wasting my cell minutes and filling up my voicemail box.- Caller: Credit Card Services=Scammers

They have called me repeatedly never using the same phone number or area code twice.
I keep reporting the number they call from to the Do Not Call complaint site but its not slowing them down any it seems. - JoReceived an unwanted call from 409-242-3080 saying this could be my last chance to get a credit card or something like that or low interest rate on my CC. I don't have a CC. So why are they calling me. I don't want a credit card. ID shows Texas.

- Mike replies to BamaBill| 3 repliesNot sure what's covered in TN Do Not Call, but I can tell you that the Federal Do Not Call (DNC) List is a JOKE!!! Congress made a big deal (and lots of media coverage) about 'protecting' the people from telemarketers. What Congress purposely DID NOT TELL anyone was that: 1) ALL charities, political organizations (including pollsters), and business with whom you already do business (like your credit-card companies) ARE EXEMPT from having to obey the DNC List; 2) all OTHER businesses can VOLUNTARILY obey the DNC -- in other words, they can call you whenever they want, whatever time they want, as many times as they want with NO penalty.
Why did Congress do this -- to make it look like they care about what you want. Joke's on all of us, huh?
Why did Congress exempt virtually everyone from the DNC --- BECAUSE THOSE ORGANIZATIONS CONTRIBUTE MONEY TO THEIR CAMPAIGNS (and no doubt also line their pockets).
We get the government we deserve. - Becky8/4/11 they called at 6:30pm. Call went to voice mail they did not leave a msg. I'm in central Ohio. They appear to be calling all over the country.

- Caller: Some sort of credit rating company
- RodnilCalleed at 8:30PM on 8/5 - Caller ID - UNKNOWN I never answer calls from unknown numbers and have received similiar recorded messages on MANY different numbers. I believe once you pick up and answer the call that validates they have a working number and then sell it to others. Best bet is to not pick up unknown, toll free or unknown numbers. DO Not Call has worked wonders to cut down the number of calls I receive but it is not perfect.

- J B replies to barbI just reported this scum company using the 409 AND the 888 area codes. I also filed a complaint on the Do Not Call agency--again using both area codes. BTW, recorded messages are illegal.

- ryangot a call from this number and after saying hello, they hung up. It is sad the the DNC registry doesn't work.
- KEVINITO replies to MikeAMEN, BROTHER! Lets kick 'em out & start over with "real" citizen's, as the founding father's intended, not a bunch of fat cat politicians who are in it for the money!

- Craig| 2 repliesI am on the DNC list.
My number is a cell phone.
The prerecorded message instructs one to press #1 to talk to someone about lowering your interest rate on credit cards.
WTF!!!!
I'm on the DNC list.
Once connected, I instructed the telemarketer that I am on the do not call list and it is illegal (per FTC regulation) to telemarket to a cell phone. She said, she did not make the call. She then began to instruct me on what "I" needed to do about her calling - or not calling- me. I cut her off and said, I have done everything legally should have had to have done. Furthermore, your company must put me on your do not call list and give me the name of your company, so I can report you to the FTC.
You know what she did...
Hung up.
I called the number (409) 242-3080 as it is shown on my caller ID. There is a quick prerecorded message, I think it denotes the name of the company-but its too quick to recognize what is being said- then the call is disconnected.- Call type: Telemarketer
