I also received a spam phone call and I am on the do not call register.

My phone number is on the DNC list but they call it anyway offerering reduced credit card rates.  They hang up when you ask them to take the number off their list and tell them the number is on the DNC list.

I am furious I keep getting calls from robots, then I press a number as instructed to get a person, then want to ask politely to remove our number from their call list, but before I can even ask, they hang up on me.  There HAS to be a way to get to the bottom of these calls!  When you call them back, it won't go through.  What cowards!!!

ok,.. i like in chi-town. just got a call again from this number.when i answered it hung uo. i called back and heard a brief message that said very quickly "welcome to our data base" then hung up WTF!!!

My suggestion is to keep calling them to ask questions or hang up on them.  I called back because the message came on my office cell phone and I want the number removed (I'm getting them at home too but I'm never there and the message starts in the middle with no company identification).  Well, I got an answer and spoke with Travis, who was quite pleasant until I mentioned I wanted to be removed from their call list and the company name to report them for violating the do-not-call registry at which point his attitude changed to unpleasant and said “Go ahead try to report us”.  OK, I could have handled that better so I will call again tomorrow with a different approach until I get the company name (all he said in the beginning of the shtick is ‘Account Services of Calc Series’ even after I asked him again what he said).

I too have been receiving these calls.  And I am always woken up by these calls, on my cell phone of all things.  I've NEVER given the number out to anyone who isn't friends/family or having a working relationship with me (ie my insurance carrier, or the guy who is cleaning my dryer vent).  So I think the person who said it's a random number generator MIGHT be right, but I actually suspect that they get the DoNotCallRegistry and use it as a guide for what numbers are actually active, since everyone here says they are on the DNCR... and since the DNCR gives 30 days before these calls will stop, they can harass us as much as they want in 30 days claiming we asked for it, and for people who have been on the registry for longer, I guess they just don't care.

What I suggest, is stricter punishments for these kinds of companies. When a number like this starts harassing people like this, the number should be immediately suspended the and rights of the company to purchase/rent new numbers should be suspended, until an investigation into their company is done.  This is ridiculous.

Receiving calls from this number & after listening to the message for a lower credit card rating, I pressed 1 to ask for my information to be REMOVED from their system.. & before I can even say anything he hangs up

This number Shows from Texas, I think the Government should provide everyone with a voucher to purchase a call blocker since their do not call list is an utter failure.  They start at about $99 but is worth every penny. Either that or telephone companies should offer units at a reduced price. If ALL of us could block them, Their jobs would become obselete and they would be layed off. Isnt that what we really want?

Receiving calls from his number on a daily bases, when I do pick up the call is a recoding, asking for me to call back to lower my credit card interest rate. Do you have any idea how can I block this number from my cell phone???

I got a call from them and only asked "what is the name of this company?" and they hung up.  Am seriously thinking of messing with them the next time they call.  Maybe we should all just pretend we are interested, make up various info or whatever (not giving real name or ssn) then waste as much of their time as we can before they realize what we are doing.

This is an unwanted call.  They keep trying.   Think it is about lowering credit card interest.  We have no interest.....Very annoying.
