I dont have any credit cards and Im on the joke of a do not call list, and I still get these calls saying they will lower my interest...on what????? Like I said, I dont have any credit cards, and havent for about 10 years or so.

I received an unwanted call from 409-242-3080 on August 9, 2011 at 10:46 AM CST.  No one responded when I answered and then the line went dead.  This is the second unwanted number to call me within two months.

This number just earned the SILENT RING TONE and I will never know that they call.  I put the other numbers I've seen people report on my silent ring tone too.   BYE BYE low life scum bag telemarketerS!

I just gave them my Senator's phone number.  :-)  She's a dolt and will enjoy the harassment.

Missed the call, but that's alright.  I am on the DNC list but it doesn't help.  So don't know company name.  I don't have any credit card interest.

You should contact the police about that sort of statement!

I received a call from this number twice today and I'm not sure why as my number is on the Do Not Call List!  The first call received, no one said anything.  The second call received, the caller was inquiring about lowering interest rates on your Visa or Mastercard.  I asked him which card company was he call from and he stated he could lower any credit card that I have; that they would work with your credit card company to lower the interest rate to 4.9% for the lifetime of the card (yeah right)!!!  I politely told the caller no thank you and he persistantly tried to talk me into using their services for a lower "lifetime" interest rate.  Also, to let you know they are scams, as I was again trying to be polite and stated I'm on the do not call listing and that I wasn't interested.  He kept tryng to be pushy.  I then told him that I was not a sir that I'm a ma'am and the caller said to me and I quote "you're a woman?  Well you must be a transvestite or had a sex change because you sure sound like a man to me"  at that point....I hung up the phone!!!  So, you know they are scams because a "true" company would not say anything degrading or distasteful to people they are trying to get for their business.  Folks please be aware!!!

Call regarding lowering interest rate of credit card.

From the many postings so far, everything seems to indicate that the user of this phone number is a known idiot. It's becoming a national sport of calling anyone and leaving irrelevant messages. This number should be shut down. Now the idiot will look at these postings and SEE the disturbance he's creating.

There has to be a better way to report them to get these folks to take your numbers off of their calling lists... they think they're sneaky by hanging up on you when you ask them to please take the number off.

I have been getting calls from this number for about 6 months now and they won't stop. I have filed several complaints but to no avail..another phone number that is doing the same [***] is 865-291-1589

Just refused to answer the umpteenth call from these credit card guys.  Has anyone figured out that they are getting our numbers from the do-not-call registry?  The government is providing the wherewithal for these a**holes to get our telephone numbers.  I got few telemarketer calls on my cell phone UNTIL I REGISTERED THE NUMBER WITH THE GOVERNMENT.  Now it's three or four a day.....
