It's UPMC calling you to remind you of your appointment. Then says to be there 15 minutes early, bring any medications and  don't wear cologne or perfume.

NOT spam.  UPMC, universal automated calling system for any or all of your doctors through UPMC.  My blocker on my cell dumped it as a spam call.  I looked up the number, called it and was told the above and to call doctor's office.  Problem is, it doesn't say who, just "your doctor."  I called the doctor on my schedule for this week and that was a reminder call for the appointment.

I received a call from this number (missed it). No message left. I am a UPMC subscriber, so fits with some of these other comments except I have no appointments scheduled. Unless they are calling to confirm an appointment next January?

Received call on T-Mobile pay as you go cell phone.  A message was left on my phone. I went online and logged into my T-Mobile account so I could delete voicemail without having to listen to it. There was no indication that a voicemail was left. Long story short, this number is a fax number from a doctor's office. Someone from that office mis-dialed because I do not know the doctor.

This is a fake company and so is this website: http://www.buzzfile.com/business/Dr.-Steve-C.-Lee,-MD-412-802-3100. If they can get you to answer then they call sell your # to telemarketers.

Legitimate call.  In my case it was my wife, who had taken a family member to a UPMC hospital, and they do not allow cell phones in that area but they do allow family the use of their phone.

Has to be some type of scam.  I understand that everyone keeps saying it's some kind of UPMC appointment reminder but that has to be false.  Firstly, I do not go to UPMC locations.  I never have.  My PCP and other various specialists were either with West Penn Health System or the current Allegheny Health Network.  So, quite impossible for UPMC to be making an appointment.  Secondly, they didn't even leave a message.  If you're leaving an important reminder that you have an appointment one would most certainly leave a voice mail.  Thirdly, I received this call at 9 PM.  No doctors office in the history of doctoring makes phone calls at 9 PM.

It's obviously some type of scam or way to sell your number to other [***] telemarketers.  Tread lightly, folks.

This is a legitimate UPMC number.  Today, I received multiple calls from this number.  One of my doctors' offices was trying to reach me with test results.  They are not allowed to leave messages on voice mail.

Sometimes, because of HIPAA laws, they are not allowed unless you gave them permission.  However, this could be ANYONE calling you from the hospital, even an in-patient or parent using a hospital phone.  All calls go out on 'trunk lines' and this is why you cannot call someone back directly.  I hope that helps.  It was the same with AHN when I worked there.  Larger companies/corporations/healthcare systems use truncated lines for their outgoing calls.  (my dad was a telephone man and I learned a lot from him)  :o)
