- LisaJust got the same call and couldn't believe on my cell phone nonetheless! First they would call my landline, now me call? How did they get it? And I can't believe the proper authorities do not investigate these type of scammers. And lastly, this is not a local police matter if you don't pay your taxes, it belongs to another jurisdiction!

- Sarah| 1 replyI received this call from IRS Officer Julie Smith. I figured it was a scam because we all know the government doesn't work on the weekend. I called back, but the call went right to voicemail. We are on the do not call list, and I don't use my home number for anything so I'm not sure where they are pulling the numbers from.

if you're going to scam at least use the proper terminology. - RamI got a call from the same number today reckoning that that are from IRS. I know that it was some asian on the phone giving an american name Scott. i gave him wrong first and last name bust still he said he was able to pull up my details. Later i asked him if he is from IRS can he tell me what my SSN was. he was like i can only send a documentation about that later and asked me to be careful as cops will be at my place in 10 mins. I asked him if he knew my residential address, he was like no but he can find and disconnected the call. Its a scam so plz beware... dont give any personal info or pay any money.

- Jodie BGot two automated phone messages on Saturday, 8/2 from 415-251-9782 (my phone is saying it's from San Francisco/North Bay area), stating they were IRS officer Julie Smith. Didn't call back because it was a weird automated voice and I figured the IRS doesn't work on Saturdays! Same "script" as others posted, "time sensitive matter", "call back before any legal allegations are taken against you", ending with "goodbye and take care". Appears to be a scam.
