I got a call yesterday saying it was from a legal firm they had all my details wich anyone can get easily they give different names like michelle brown, kenneth webster, mark they all are scammers they said i took a loan online and if i dont pay police wil arrest me they asked me to go to a walmart store or croger or cvs and buy a money pack card and scratch the silver panel behind the card and give the number and once you pay then later they will call and say you didnt meet the time frame now u have to pay more and the amount you paid court rejected it and will send you a cashiers cheque but i did lot of research and got to know its a company based in India mumbai and they give calls from different number as well and they use skype or magic jack number but when my attorney called they didnt answer and later when they answered they started abusing please people tell all your friends family n all the stores you visit its a big big scam

Caller from 415-484-5967 called and, with a very heavy Indian accent, identified himself as being from the IRS, which he then explained to mean the Internal Revenue Service.  He said I had under reported about $3900 of income and if I did not settle the debt immediately, it would cast me $35,000 in penalties, attorney fees, court fees, etc.  I have dealt with the IRS many times and I recognized this as a scam almost immediately.  I asked him how I could make this problem go away, and he said I would need to settle immediately as the police would be at my door soon.  I asked him how much did I need to pay to settle tonight, and he said $3906. (I didn't tell him that if you under report income by $3906, you pay the IRS the tax on the income, not the entire amount of the income.)  I asked him if I could use a credit card, and he said I would need to talk with his accounting department.  I then asked him for his IRS employee ID.  He read me the above telephone number.  I told him that all IRS agents must give out their employee ID number when you talk to them on the telephone, and he then read me my home zip code. At this point I was tired of leading him on and simply hung up the phone.  The same number has called 3 times this morning (next day) and left the same IRS threat on our voice mail.

I just received a call from 4144845967 claiming to be the IRS and something about imminent arrest, it was hard to hear and fuzzy. The call was San Fransisco, Thick accent and when I called back no one picked up. Alarm bells went off, so I checked here. I'm shocked that they can get away with claiming to be legitimate Gov Branches. Ugh! Thanks to all who do an outstanding job posting these fraudsters and saved me making a bigger mistake.

i just received a call from a michele brown #415 484 5967 saying that i owed the irs $1500 on back taxes because i havent filed and then she said for the eic  i received, when i started asking questions she got upset and said that they were going to seize my property,freeze my bank account and issue a warrant for my arrest and that i would have to have $3500 when i go to court for atty fees. once i started asking questions again she hung the phone and when i callled her back to kept hanging up. please don't fall for the SCAM!!!!

Wow, I got a call today also. I couldn't understand what he was saying. The person I assumed he wanted is handicapped and can not come to the phone. He said to have him call back. When he called back there was no answer just a beeeeep. My girlfriend said that wasn't the IRS. I googled the number and found all these complaints. Yikes. How do these people get our phone numbers and know something... He said there was an open case.

I received a call from Alex Baker claiming to be with the IRS, he said that I was going to be arrested within the hour if I didn't pay back taxes. I started asking questions and he hung up on me. I called back and he answered still claiming to be with the IRS. I received another call from a women also stating she was with the IRS and again I started asking and she hung up. I'm still getting calls from them with their thick India accent.

IF you owed back taxes or any money to the IRS, they would MAIL you letters.  The IRS does not cold call you and demand you pay taxes with a pre-paid card.

Two phone calls within 20 minutes from 415-484-5967. No answer on the other end of the line. Now I am aware of this phone number thanks to above comments, I will be ready for them if they should call again.

Okay, they did call back and asked for my son. Told the guy, "Nope!" He claimed to be from the IRS and I told him that he was not, was a scam artist and to never call my number again. Made me very angry that he would try to dupe my son out of his hard-earned wages. Brought out the Momma Bear in me. Grrrrrr!!!!! Don't fall for it. It is definitely a SCAM!!!

I received three voice messages this morning from 415-484-5967 to my home telephone in Dallas, Texas, from someone purporting to be John Michael with the IRS.  The message said do not disregard this message.  Either you or your attorney needs to return the call.  I tried to call the number back and there was no voice message, etc., just sounded like a sound to leave a message.

I just got off the phone with someone with very broken accent looking for someone in my household from 415-484-5967. They told me to take down his name( which he repeated a couple of times but did not understand). he then proceeded to tell me to make sure the person he was looking for knew he was from the IRS. That got me curious for I thought if it truly was from the IRS or any govt. agency, it would have shown up on the caller ID. this only showed the phone number and a City from which it was called. That made me get on line and look  it up and this is when I found all these other complaints from the same #. I am certainly glad this service is around.

They just called me.  The told me they were from the IRS then proceeded with a long speech ending with I was going to be arrested in 2 hours because of tax evasion.  I got mad and said "is this some sick joke?" and they hung up.

I received call from Alex Baker basically telling me the same thing I see here above. He said he was with the IRS and that I had to immediately call his boss, Kenneth Webster at 415 691 7195.  I told him I would call the IRS first to confirm he worked with them. I then called the IRS help line and they said they did have an employee named Alex Baker (I'm sure the real IRS Alex had nothing to do with this).  The fake Alex said if I didn't contact them immediately, the IRS would suit me because there was a problem with my tax return.  After speaking with the help line at the real IRS, and checking with them to make sure my account was indeed in good order,  I was given the 800 number to the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration and report this fraudulent caller.  I haven't called them yet. Also, when I did call back the 415 691 7195 number, all I got was a quick beep.
I then went online and typed in "Alex Baker and Kenneth Webster, fake IRS agents" and found this page and another one describing the same situation and with same people's names.  The only thing that changed is the phone number but all the complaints on this page  start with area code 415.

I got several call today as every one had mentioned. Please do not send any money to them at all !!

More or less the same as above. Heavy Indian accent, said he was calling on behalf of Kenneth Webster. Had my address wrong, said he was calling from San Francisco, but when I asked him what time it was there he gave me East Coast time

Similar deal with me today. "Alex Baker," heavy Indian-Pakistani-like accent, supposedly of "IRS Department," asking for my wife. Wants her to call him back at 415-691-7195.

Received a call from 415-484-8569 claiming to be Michelle Brown & Kenneth Webster from the irs & that I owed back taxes & I was going to get arrested today if I didn't pay. I told him "do what you gotta do". He got very angry with me. I then hung up & called my CPA. He tried to call the number & it was already disconnected. He said it was a scam. That's when we found other complaints of this type. They are using a different number.
