Just recd the same type of call, Indian accent, sending police to arrest me, when I mentioned call is phony he hung up. He also gave a diff CB # that did not work on mu VM.

Im on hold with the IRS right now trying to report this fraud. My friend just gave them her whole social security number... god
what else can i do?
do i report to the police?

I received a message from this 415-484-5967 number today, 11/28/2013, thanksgiving day of all days.  I called it back using a different number than the one they called on and used *67 in front of my number to stop my number from coming across.  I said you called my number, he said his name was David Jackson.  Interesting name considering he was from somewhere in India.  anyway, he said this is the IRS investigation team and that they had done a five-year audit of my taxes and that I owed back taxes.  I asked for what year and he said for five years back and i asked which of those five years and he said he would have to research it and call me back with the information and hung up.  okay. this is definitely a scam.  number one, the IRS does not call you, they send letters in the mail before they even talk to you.  I hate these people bc they take advantage of many people who panic and do what they say.  so with that being said, please do not even call these people back.  let it go and move on.  also, tell them if you do talk to them that your attorney has been given this information and will be handling it from here on.  

Friday  - just received a call (second one today) from someone claiming to be from the IRS and that a serious legal problem existed with my account.  He said I should call his supervisor James Anderson 415 691 7195.  When I asked for a case number he repeated that I should just call his supervisor.  I pressed the issue and asked how the supervisor would know what case he is dealing with since he must deal with hundreds of these cases at a time. Again, just call.
This was the most fun I've had all day.  I try to keep these jokers on the line for as long as possible to see how elaborate their ruse is.

I got a call today. Same names same scammers.

Total bs........irs doesn't work on the weekends....told me I was going to get arrested unless I paid my tax bill on Monday.....had to talk to his supervisor to see if they could maybe help me out by paying them.....Indian guy with a white guys name . Smelled like sh-t , must be !

My mom got a call from 415-691-7195 today telling her they were from the IRS, that she should have received several letters and there was a lawsuit pending against her for unpaid taxes; however, they were giving her my address and only used the zip code to confirm. She hung up after telling the lady that she didn't owe any taxes and the lady called her right back and got very demanding. She was told to call Jane Anderson back and discuss the issue with her.

I received a call today from 818-945-1671. There was no one on the line when I answered, so I hung up. I then received a voice mail from the same number saying there is a deficiency in my taxes and not to disregard the message or legal allegations would be made. She left 415-223-1186 for a call back number. First I just called the 818-945-1671 back. It was answered by a voice mail message claiming to be Officer Kenneth Webster and to leave a message, but the mail box was full. I then called the 415 number. It was answered by a "Michelle Brown". She said I owed back taxes. When I said I was not aware of any back taxes owed she hung up on me. I called back and a guy answered. I said I had been disconnected and he hung up on me. Several more attempts were all disconnected with no one answering.

just got a 415 area call. could not understand guy. told me to call back a number that was same number he called me on. went to voicemail with no room to leave message then it said error and disconnected. finally reached officer webster. threatened immed arrest unless i pay 2400 dollars.  he put me on hold to check w reconciliation dept 4 min later he said he can take care of it. i askrd for his number name and his irs id. he hung up. going to report to fbi.

I just recieved three phone calls from phone number 451-251-3754 between 11:23 and 11:49am from a guy with an Indian accent but also sounded handicapped. Stated I owed the IRS money and legal action was being taken against me. I needed to call the case manager at the same number that I just spoke with this rep on. Case manager's name was "Kenneth Webster". This is sad and scary at the sametime, I hope this is a true attempt to try and stop these crooks!

I received a voice message from a Terry  (hard to tell his Indian sounding accent was so heavy) while I was just on vacation, not only did he say I had an urgent IRS matter, he also called back a little later and left a second message stating it was for my ex-wife who also had an IRS matter.  She and I were divorced about 20 years ago and she never had the number he called me on as I took it out after we were divorced and it is my business number.  The number he left to call back on was 415-251-3754 and when I called it back using caller ID block it was answered by a Kenneth Webster's voice mail greeting but his mailbox was full so I never got the satisfaction of leaving him a reply which was going to be from a SF police Detective.

I got the same call from Alex Baker. It's definitely a scam.

I got this message today. They said they were calling because I had an outstanding debt with the IRS. When I told them my name they said this and I told them that they were wrong I had no debts they hung up on me and when I called back they kept answering the phone and then hanging up again. I finally got someone else who answered and when I ask her what was going on I was talking to a Kenneth Webster and he hung up on me she asked why. So she asked my name and then tried to tell me that I had an outstanding balance with the IRS and I told her that I didn't and she said well that is why he hung up and now I am going to do the same. The phone number is a scam and unless you know that it is the IRS don't give them anything not even your SS# and do not send them any money they are just trying to get money from people. THEY ARE NOT THE IRS.

Department of legal affairs??? don't think there is one.  Watch out elderly!  This guy is convincing but his accent was so thick I couldn't be too alarmed plus, I never heard of the department of legal affairs.
