I am just guessing that if it is the same as the last time...

Every once in a while I'll start getting calls from Ontario where they don't leave a message. Often I can't answer the phone during the day. When I do get a chance to answer & there is someone on the other end it turns out to be Scotia Bank and they want to find out about my experience as a customer... did the teller smile, did they look me in the eye... ask me about stuff like that, then they tried sell me their life insurance.

Probably some sale program like that, but a nuisance just the same. Sales pitch wrapped in a customer service wrapper.

They have called me since January.

i called scotia to make an account change and this number has called me twice a day for the last week or so

I am also a ScotiaBank customer----No Msg. Left. Very rude, it is Scotia Life Insurance...Don`t answer them

Didn't answer, no message left. We are Scotia bank clients, so prbably trying to sell us something.

They call me all the time after I answered the phone call about 3 years ago, it was about life insurance, I declined the offer, they have been taking money out of my account for aprox. 3 years, even without me signing up for their insurance, no paperwork stating who my money goes to if I die, or any information that needs to be dealt with after my demise.. the caller had a thick east pakistan accent and signed me up and I am still fighting with them...Think about it...they have been taking money out of my account for this long with NO signature or my consent....

Getting same calls for the past 3 weeks every day. I had no idea who it was so I googled the number. Glad I found out who it was calling...now I won't answer it next time I am home and they call. I'm a SB customer also.

Receive calls on a daily basis, no one answers or leaves a message.

yep they call me too, every night ! either this number or 416 581 8705. I deal with scotia too but I dare they call me every night. When they get my voicemail It's sounds as if they're driving and sometimes i hear someone clearing their throat ???? Who knows !

Got  a call from 416-313-4990 several time during the day. morning ,afternoon and evening.
the Alien that called did not leave a message . what for !!!!

I just got the call for thise number.  Something to do with Scotia Bank and they're trying to sell me an insurence!

Also received a call from 1-416-313-4990, Sept. 8/2010. No message left. I'm also a Scotia Bank customer.

I'm a Scotia Bank Customer as well - If there was a Bank of Commerce near me - I'd likely switch back the them - although I was with BMO for quite a while & they were pretty good - but none close to me - My only other option is TD / Canada Trust - & they both suck - I have problems prior with both of them...

I just got a call from that number and I googled it right away. Got this website, thanks for letting me know that it's scotia insurance. I'll remember not to answer that one!

If they don't leave a message it is likely because they know that they are annoying telemarketers!

I just received a call (Sept. 15th at 7:58 p.m.). I, too, am a Scotiabank client. Seems to me that SB is always calling me for some reason or another... So annoying!

I just got a call from this number on my cell...I also deal with Scotia Bank but they don't have my cell number at all.........seems very strange to me
