Your best defense is to understand how call centres work. As long as you ignore the calls they will continue because they use an auto-dialer. There are settings for the auto dialer such as how many times to dial before giving up but the client determines those settings, not the call centre. Call centres exist because companies want to reach people -  usually to sell something but not always.
If you go to Scotia for instance and tell them to stop calling you they will. But it's better to tell the call centre this because then that call centre can't call you for ANY client.

Why do you think this is the place to post such a request?  This is a database for people to post their experiences with phone numbers that call them. It is NOT the site for the company that called you.

We have asked NUMEROUS times to be put on the Do Not Call list from Scotia. NUMEROUS times. Yet they keep calling.

The last few times I told these people to put me on The Non calling list, but doesn't help!

Last month I screamed out wrong number and start yelling in a different language! I haven't got a call in the past 30days. it's a start!

It seems ScotiaBank can be rated right up there with 'scam' calls because they are a nuisance, persistent, and SO unwanted.

Yeah they keep calling my cell and the few times I have answered no one said anything.

You are so full of crap!! I have already asked them to stop calling me and they still do!!!

I keep getting this call at night and odd hours.  

When I answered the phone, there's nobody there. This happens on average of once or twice per week.
