I got a call too today. I just hang up

I got a call from this number 10 min ago. Googled number and here I am. I also am on the do not call list. I will be reporting this number. I just wonder how they get your house and cell numbers,

Please report this number as they are calling on my cell phone which uses my minutes.  When I try to call back I get hung up on or a busy signal so I have not been able to tell them that I want to be removed from their list.

I ask who they are they move on and ask me to verfiy my social security number when I tell them I don't know who they are they why would I do that then I ask them not call and they hang up.

In your dreams! The problem isn't solved.  They don't really take your number off of their list.  They will call you back.  Experience speaking here.  I simply do not answer the phone when the ID doesn't appear, when the phone ID isn't one I recognize, when it is an 800 series call etc.  It doesn't do a great deal to report them to the FTC, FCC, do not call registry.  They could care less, they will keep calling.  If they scam just one person when they make hundreds a day, they have accomplished what they have set out to do.  They get you any way they can.

Called and hung up phone, did not leave a message.

They called my dead husband's phone. No message.

The NDCR does not guarantee response or action against callers who violate.  I just filed a complaint online with the attorney general out in Washington State.  Should you wish to do so as well, you may at http://www.atg.wa.gov/fileacomplaint.aspx.

You must fill out all fields with the red asterick.  I put unknown telemarketer for the Business Name and the form was accepted.

Maybe if enough of us flood the AG with complaints, they will put a stop to this company.

I did not take the call, at 8;42 p.m.  I did call the number later.  Message:  Last chance to lower interest rate on credit cards.  Press 1 to speak to someone.  No way to option off call list.  SCAM!

Googled it on white pages, a landline in Seattle/Tacoma WA area.

Just what do you expect Verizon to do about it? They are simply a cell phone service and have NOTHING whatsoever to do about your incoming calls, nor do they have the any power to do anything about it.

By pressing 1 you are then only verifying that your phone number is legitimate and the WORSE thing you could do. All cell phone have caller ID, so if you don't recognize the number just don't answer. Pretty simple eh?

My Verizon account has place to enter numbers that will then be blocked for 90 days.  There is a section of their website that says "I want to - " with a list of choices.  One choice is "Call and message blocking."

After that, I go to the National Do Not Registry website and file a complaint.

This time, (Today), I pushed one and got a busy signal.

just don't answer it if you don't recognize the number...they don't leave a message and it doesn't count against your minutes.
