They have called me twice in the middle of the night on a skype phone number.   I have used that number for six years but not when I was living in the northwest.   That phone number was never associated with any account.   I now have simply blocked that number.   It is likely a scam or else someone provided a random phone number that happened to be my number.   In either case it is a scam as I don't even have an account with PSE for over six years!

I have over 10 calls in the last two months from 425-873-2778 and they never left a message. a total scam, i don't even have a PSE account.   they vmailed and wanted a return call to 877-439-4750.

Got a call saying I had a past due balance. They had all my contact information and account info. I gave them my card information to pay for the bill, then immediately regretted realizing it could've been a scam. But I got an email receipt after the fact and called PSE and verified that the number was valid and my account balance was paid off. I'm glad they called because I didn't realize I had an unpaid bill. Next time I would just go online and pay instead of doing it over the phone.

This is actually PSE. I worked for this company. It's outsourced fro past due billing and letters of testamentary accounts. Located in Renton. The number to call back is 1-877-439-4750 and if you call Customer Care and ask about the Renton Vendor location. They will confirm everything.

Caller ID states PSE collections. I know it is a scam as I am aware of my account status.

I believe it. They knew my exact account balance. However, I don't even know where Renton is so I'm leaning more toward: Slow day, sup tells them to call people with balances, yada yada. I actually would not call back to give them any money. I just really really don't live in Renton. I understand that they have to call now due to the shutdown of the office in Bellingham but I am not going to give someone who sounds like she is from the Philippines my bank account info.

Always call using a published, official number to verify a caller, as scammers can spoof legitimate numbers and pretend to be from a Utility company.

The number (425-873-2778) is PSE Collections, not PSE support/Customer service.

For the sake of logic, think of it as a separate entity that focuses on collection of unpaid bills. The customer service reps are a separate team, who work in a separate place, have separate training, and are likely clueless of what the collection team process is.

They could be contacting regarding an old, or current account.  Best thing to do is contact PSE yourself and investigate your account and status. DO NOT assume those reps know anything about this number, PSE collections, and calls from it. They will likely just agree it is a scam.

Out of 4 pages posted over 4 years, I only counted 2 people who even used the term "customer service", so what are you talking about?  Everyone else already mentioned it was "collections" calling. They don't "sticky" stupidity!
