Explained I was a disabled veteran with PTSD. No amount of money could induce me to leave my home, drive to another county, and participate in a research group with strangers. I asked to be removed from their lists.
Imagine my surprise then to have two more calls from this K&B group. One of the calls on Memorial Day of all days. Nice touch, K&B. My life already sucks due to the wounds... you call me on MEMORIAL DAY to see if I was serious about refusing your money???

- COSUpdate:
I sent an email to the company after I posted here last night. This morning at 0830 there was a reply from the president of the company. He apologized and confirmed that outside the sometimes one week delay in phone lists being updated, there will be no more calls from this organization at my home.
I'll be interested to see if this promise is kept.- Caller: K&B National

- R B SmithWould not stop calling even thought I called several times to ask them to stop. They told me they would not stop calling unless I gave them more than just the number they are calling. They claim they are doing research for a grocery store but will not say who.
BTW - at first I didn't believe the post below about the owner being a registered sex offender. So I looked up the Dale C Hanks that is listed as owner of this company at a Spring, Texas address listed and lo and behold he is registered as a sex offender and is the same Dale C Hanks (at least by photo) that was listed in Plano.- Caller: K & B Research

- solicited469-341-5853 K & B National- Either I get no message, or I get some woman who I can barely understand claiming I can get rewarded $175.00 for taking a 2 day survey while I can hear kids yelling in the back round. This "telemarketer" also has laughed while giving her message. Annoying scam, and K&B National keeps calling.

- Anonymous replies to TimmyMaybe, Technical difficulties or they already left 3 voicemails. After that most research companies that call after 3rd voicemail call to speak with live person. If you wish not participate in qualifying to receive an Honorarium check. Tell them to Do Not Call the first time.
- AustinLooks like that K&B National's President Dale Hanks is a registered sex offender:

- Annoyed replies to amI too am on the Do Not Call list yet I keep getting these calls. A woman left a message last night that they were conducting a survey of one particular county and "surrounding" counties. My county is several counties away from that county. She didn't seem to know her spiel as she stuttered and um-ed though out Loved that she first offered $100 then long pause "corrected" herself and offered $675!! Really? She got confused between those two amounts? I have my doubts and I doubt posters who claim to have done the focus groups. Could be K & B employees posting. I notice how none of them mention actually being paid..

CID = K & B National 1 (469) 341-5853
Message = "Jennifer" called from K & B National offering $125 to participate in a "focus group" on local issues. Message was pretty specific about date and time and contained both toll-free and direct numbers to call if interested. I appreciate the courtesy of a professional message, though I am not interested in their offer. This caller is now blocked.- Caller: K & B National

Abbeville police warn about phone scam 2 years ago
The Abbeville Police Department is advising everyone who gets a phone call from a research company asking for personal information not to surrender the information to the stranger on the phone.
Throughout the parish, residents have been getting phone calls from someone stating to be a rep from K&B National Research Company - a company hired by another company to do product research.
The research rep on the other end asked the individual if they would like to take part in a survey. The research rep said they will pay the person $125 for taking the survey
If the caller says “yes” then they first answer a few questions to see if they qualify for the survey.
The research rep asks the age of the person, the education and what do they do for a living. If they like who they have on the other end, more personal questions will be asked.
Abbeville Detective Jason Hebert warns everyone in the parish not give any information to a stranger on the phone.
“If they are willing to pay you $125, then it sounds too good to be true,” Hebert said. “It is a scam. They want your social security number or maybe they’ll ask you about checking account numbers.”
He said these research reps are searching for the elderly. If the caller has an college education or seems too smart and may catch on the scam, the rep informs them that they do not qualify for the survey and hangs up.
“Do not give out vital information to anyone you do not know,” Hebert said.

- Tony C.Didn't answer this time, but it's the second call I've received from K&B. I live on the east coast, and they tend to call my cell after 9pm!!! I called them back and asked if I could be removed, but they wouldn't without getting more information than my phone #. So I threatened to kill everyone there and burn down their building, maybe they will stop now.
- bogI have gotten a phone call two days in a row. Each time it was from a different person; a male the first time and then a female. Both times I was promised to be paId $350 for a two day survey regarding things in my . Communiy.I was not home either time, but I don't plan to return their call.

- S. Rue replies to S. Rue| 1 replyForgot to add that they were paying $350 to about 40 citizens in Acadia and St. Landry parishes to participate. The caller ID says K & B National. It is the first call I have ever received from them. I read an earlier post from another parish saying it was a scam.
