I HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THE LAFAYETTE STUDY FOR ST LANDRY N SURROUNDING PARISHES ON OCT 31 AND NOV 1 I THOUGHT IT WAS A SCAM LIKE EVERYONE ELSE BUT I TOOK A CHANCE I WAS PAID IN FULL WITH A CHECK I WAS FED AND EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTH. THE STORY ABOUT THE POLICE OFFICER IS ONLY BECAUSE HE DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE STUDY BASED ON THE ANSWERS HE PROVIDED SO NOW LIKE EVERYONE THAT TRIES TO OUT SMART SOMEONE HE ACTUALLY PREVENTED HIMSELF FROM MAKING EASY CASH. BUT HEY I WILL BE WAITING FOR THE NEXT TIME THEY CALL I HAD A BLAST.

I received a call from this number at 4:15 p.m. on Nov 12, 2013.    I didn't recognize the number, so I let the answering machine pick up.    A  man's voice left a message, claiming they were interested in my opinion about political matters in my county.    He said I would be paid $400 for a 2-day seminar with 20 other residents of my county.   He left a number for me to return the call.   I deleted the message, as I doubt if this is legitimate.

Cops will always tell you to not answer any questions unless they are the ones asking. Then if you don't answer their questions your a dirt bag. This company may have a questionable president but they do pay good money. And did you know if you get caught taking a leak on the side of the road you get charged with indecent exposure and become a registered sex offender! ! I have found that I need to be less judgemental when it comes to peoples wrongdoings.

Finally someone who knows everything! Lucky you.

I'm bummed I only qualifyed for the one day $200 group. I wish I got your call.

6 calls in 10 days! They sound too anxious to sign me up.  

Its not a scam, but in Order to qualify you have to be employeed full time or partime, you cant know any judges, attorneys, doctors, you have to vote republican or democrat, no felonies, you cant be over 71 years old, basically its like being picked for a jury, because its a mock trial. I recently found out the president of the company is a SEX OFFENDER! Right before he fired me, he tried to sleep with me. The company is full of convicted felons, thats getting your information.

The president DALE C. HANKS was convicted of sexual assault on a 15 year old girl. He is a pervert, he made several passes at me while I was employed there and I turned him down, I got fired a week later. This company hires felons that scams on residents information.

asked for me by name, told them he was not here. asked me questions, I told them I was resident of Canada...
I am not qualified. I didn't ask to be qualified, now blow me!

I am also less judgmental. I looked at this ex employees claim and even if the president has a questionable background the crime listed is for solicitation and it does NOT say there actually was a sexual assault. My research study with this company was in Chicago last year. There were about 50-60 residents from different counties and the topic was about a law suit between two big companies. It was really cool to be a part of this research and I would definitely do it again if they called me.

If he paid his dues then just let it go. I am glad to see some people are able to be productive citizens. Good for him! He is OK in my books.

Look again and you will see a few days later the newspaper printed a retraction (buried in the back pages of course) because they found out they were wrong and had jumped to conclusions.

They called two days in a row; I answered both times.  After saying hello 4 times on each call, I hung up.  Now I've blocked their number.  I am not interested in money from scumbags who call my number, interrupt me, then don't have the courtesy to even acknowledge that I answered.  Reeeeeeeaaaaaaal professional!  Also reporting to Do Not Call; since they didn't bother to identify if their call was allowed by Feds, I'll assume they are telemarketers!

Very interesting to read all the comments and what everyone has to think about the company. Participants are paid because when there is a big trial going on in the area, either the prosecution side or the defense side of the case will invest this money to conduct a mock trial to work out any kinks and see what the mock jurors have to say about what information will or will not help their case in the actual trial. This, in the long run, allows for money saved by the client in the long run if the information gathered during the mock trial allows them to win their case. K&b does not ask for social security numbers, credit card information, or any other personal financial information. The questions asked are to see if you qualify as someone who could likely be picked for a real jury, and then check your demographics against other demographics of other participants of the group. Some demographics do fill up faster than others, Such as retired or unemployed, because of thehigher number of residents available and willing to participate usually during the week for a full day or more. Each research study pays a different amount depending on the client, how long the study will be, and the area of the country. All participants are paid on the last day of the study by check in their name.
If your number is on the national do not call list, it is not on k&b's do not call list because as a research company not trying to sell you anything, k&b does not fall under those guidelines. However you can get your name added to k&b's do not call list by simply requesting to be placed on it. I find that kindness works wonders for all involved. Reporting k&b to anyone will not get you anywhere because they are not doing anything illegal. No one is forcing you to answer any questions that you do not want to answer. You do have to go through the questionnaire to qualify and participate, but if thats not for you, thats okay too.
