- Nancy replies to callleyI get calls all day long. It shows up on my caller ID as NStar Champion!! Don't respond to them as they ask you the last four digits of your social security number and checking account number. I believe it's a scam too!! I was told our mortage company switched over to NStar but I never got any notice of it. My husband answered and believed that our mortage got changed over and gave his social security number ( last 4 digits) to them and told me he took care of the problem and we wouldn't be hearing from them again!! He was 1 week late sending in our mortgage payment due to us being on vacation so he believed they were legitimate!! Well I just got another call this morning asking the same questions and I told them if they call again my phone will be forwarding their call right to the police station!!! They are asking way too many questions and people out there need to be aware of these idiots!!! Scam the Scammers right back!!
- Nancy replies to DRWhat kind of a mortgage company calls and asks the last four digits of your social security number, address etc. I told the guy I wanted his social security number, his address and checking account number!! He hung up!! These people are scammers and everyone needs to be aware!! Read my other post below under Nancy!!
- Nancy replies to Stevie B.This guy called asking all kinds of questions from NStar, social security, checking account # etc. I wouldn't give him any info as I didn't receive any notice saying my mortgage changed over to them. I asked his number and extension and he gave it to me. When I call back you don't even get an option to punch in the extension number. You only get an automated voice saying to veryify your your mortgage account with us please punch in the last four digits of your social security number!! I couldn't even punch in the extension number as this company has no option on thier voice mail to do that!! They are big time scammers..so beware!! I get calls all day long from this company!!
- S. HapkowskyjBeen geting calls and a short msg about hrs. incohrent msg. and I believe my t-mobile charges
me .45 cents a pu on these bogus msgs. Is there a way to have this company from Texas
somehow stop calling me, most annoying... - SusanI am getting calls from this number everyday and do not have a mortgage with them! They are harrassing me and it needs to stop!!!
- spittmanthis number is calling me repeatedly
- tboneI literally get a dozen calls a day from this number. Sometimes it's just silence and other times a guy comes on and asks for someone named Alex. Now, every time they call I either say the filthiest, most derogatory thing I can think of, or I blast extremely loud death metal into the phone. The calls seem to have been reduced since I've been doing that.
- Tracy| 3 repliesMy mortgage was sold to Nationstar about 3 years ago so I have been a customer of their's for almost 3 years now. They the biggest JOKE of a company ever. I seriously don't know how they're still in business. No one ever has a clue what they're talking about, you can never speak with a supervisor. They call ALL THE TIME. My mortgage is up to date, has always been, but they call anyway - sometimes to thank me for payments that I haven't made and other times ask when they're going to receive payments that they have received. THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you can avoid them, do it!

- jstephen1948These idiots have called 50 times in the last 2 days. The solution, get AT&T uverse phone. You can block up to 20 numbers from getting thru. You can do this from your computer. You can still see how many times they call on your call logs, but it will not ring your phone.

- ldlReceived a call from these people on a Sunday afternoon in early November - a time when telemarketers aren't supposed to be calling. Didn't pick up. Like other posters on this site, I had a mortgage through First Horizon that was sold to Nationstar Mortgage. Nationstar called after that with a recorded message telling me to hold for a live person, and I hung up. When I called Nationstar the next day, because I hadn't recemved anything with which to pay my mortgage to them, I was told this was a "courtesy" call - I asked them how bad their "discourtesy" calls were. I finally got a statement on the day the mortgage was due! And now this, scammy telemarketing. I'm going to start complaining about this company to a list of agencies I've found online at http://blog.lawinfo.com/2009/08/06/how-to-mak ... ortgage-broker/, starting with attorneys general in my state and Texas. Nationstar behaves more like a scam than a real company. If they did ask for my SSN, which they won't because I won't take these calls, I'd report them to the local police, too.

- S Bravo| 1 replyIt is NationStar (or a proxy for them) calling.
I, too , was "sold-off" to NationStar last January. It has been nothing but phone call hell ever since.
They're a menace and, in my opinion, borderline crooks.
I suggest sending a letter (or twenty) to their corporate office/mailing address (they only give a Post Office Address--probably out of fear that one of their "customers" is going to walk in and "go Postal" on them) requesting that all communication with them take place through the U.S. Mail and further request that the phone calls stop.
When the calls don't stop (and they won't), then it's time to file a formal complaint with authorities.- Caller: NationStar Mortgage via Champion Mortgage

- Michael RMy loan also was sold. I owe 30K on a 100K plus house so why the hell First Horizon sold the loan I cannot figure. I did change all my accounts to a credit union because they did that.m I used to be able to pay at the local branch.
Now I have been tring to set up direct pay with Nationstar for 4 months with no sucess. they want me to pay Wells FArgo 15$ a month to make a 450$ payment/ Yeh, go blow.
I have gotten 27 calls from Champion Mtg according to my phone id. As late as 10pm as early as 6:30 am over the weekend and 3 of them on Sunday. I just spoke with an agent at Nationstar about my account and she said she had never heard of Champion MTG. I will paying these slums off the first of the year. what a crappy outfit. Have never read anything but negative about them. No wonder theres so many foreclosures.- Caller: Champion mtg
- GaryWe've been getting numerous calls here at my business from Nstar Champion, several per day for the past several weeks. Caller ID shows up as Nstar Campion, 469-549-2000. I called the number back, got an operator and requested customer service to remove our number. After I gave them our number to remove, the rep looked it up and it turns out they were looking for a former employee who left here several years ago. I told him that I didn't know how to contact the individual and that they needed to stop calling us. We'll see what happens...

- Female-FlaI've been getting 3 - 4 calls per day from this number for the past week or so. I saved it as a contact labeled "PHONE SCAM" to avoid answering. It claims to be a mortgage company...but I've never owned a house...and never shopped for a mortgage in my life. Very annoying.
- Caller: Nationstar
- Larry| 4 repliesPay your freaking mortgage and they won't call you. It's that simple, pay your bill on time and they will not call you. Deadbeat losers!
- BobWe do not have mortgage or any other kind of business with them (NStar Champion) then why are we receiving couple of phone calls (recorded message to call toll free number) per week? I never heard about this company before. IT IS A PURE SCAM.
