I did call the number back.

I have 4 mortgages on 4 pieces of investment property which are automatically paid between the 12th and 13th of each month and have been for over 4 years.

I was told by the collection department that my payment was due on the 1st and late after that.

There is no late fee unless payment is received after the 17th of the month, so I have never been late.

So, I informed her that Nationstar had just had their last conversation with me and blocked the number.

FYI:  The telephone conversation in which a collector stated that my payments were late were missleading and, should, anyone else receive such a claim, is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) which makes it illegal for a collector to make false or misleading claims.  An action may be taken in any court of competent jurisdiction and the violator is liable for $1000 per violation plus REASONABLE ATTORNEY FEES.  The reasonable attorney fees part of the FDCPA is the killer. I have a number of investment properties and they are a minor issue and I don't have time to go after their dumb [***]

NationStar has a policy of calling you (automated service)  if they do not receive your payment by the 7th.  Even if you payment is not 'late' until the 16th or 17th; their position is that your payment was due on the 1st of the month and they are calling to find out why you haven't made payment yet.

The automated service will have you call them back - I did and was informed that I would receive these calls EVERY MONTH that payment was not received by the 5th of the month.  Due to privacy issues they will not leave a message so you have to call them back.

SInce it is an automated calling service - it is possible that someone without a NationStar mortgage could receive the call. When you call back you have to give them all sorts of info before they will even tell you what the call is about!!!!!   So if you know that your payment will be made in a timely manner  IGNORE these messages.

I did get a call from this number and it is a valid number and a valid company.  Recently they purchased a number of mortgages from other mortgage providers.  I called them back and informed them that the auto-call back system is not functional and they would be looking into it.

My mortgage was sold to Nationstar a few years ago and the company definitely has issues with honesty and customer relations. My mortgage is due on the 1st, I have a grace period of 10 days during which no late penalty is assessed. I have automatic pay thru my bank and due to a system glitch one time it did not get to Nstar on the first. They started calling me at home, on cell, and at work DEMANDING immediate payment for which they also wanted me to pay a $40 processing fee. I tried to explain that it would process thru my bank in the next two days and I wasn't going to pay a fee because I really had till the 10th to get it to them. This call came to me at work and the guy became very rude and said I didnt' have a grace period (that is a lie). I told him at that time that I wanted him to post that they are not allowed to call me at work. I am allowed to do this according to the regulations on collections, he then said I wasn't that I would have to send a notarized letter stating such to the corporate office for their review so they could decide if they were going to call me at work again...HUH???

At that point I was so angry I could scream. I still pay my house payment thru my bank but it will NEVER get to them till the last day of the grace period...too bad. If given the choice, never choose Nationstar!

Wow, you're just a sorry piece of crap that apparently can't read. With that attitude you must be a staunch republican, in the mortgage business yourself, or worse...both.

I keep getting calls from these guys at 8:30 at night and they are in Texas so that means it's 10:30 pm there. I never had a mortgage but my mother did with them and she died back in august and all we did as a family was inform them she died and told them to take possession of the house as nobody in the family was interested in it and she died with no will. they obviously dont get the fact that shes dead otherwise they wouldnt keep asking for her after they already have her death certificate! IDIOTS.

My mortgage was recently acquired by Nationstar and my payment is due on the 1st and I have a 16 day grace period. The one time I called them back, only because they left a message saying they had a special offer for me, they began pressuring me about when I was going to make my payment. I said "I have a 16 day grace period" to which they replied "That doesn't answer my question." I said "Well then does this?" and hung up. I made my payment before the 16th and will continue to pay before the 16th because it is not late until the 17th. I now don't answer the phone unless I know who it is.

These guys are the worst ever. I talked with customer service, that's a joke, inquired why they were not talking my payment out of my account. D don't even have checks for this account! Direct deposit in, direct withdrawal out--not with these guys. Ten registered letters on overdue payments. Finally someone had the smarts to say, oh we're not a bank and can't electronically take it out of your account moving back a century, I know I have checks and mail in my payments. What jerks!!

The calling hours are from 8 am to 9 pm. So technically if they call you after 9, they have broken the FDCPA law! Also check the laws in regards with your state. Sometimes the states laws are different..

They just called again today.  I hung up.  Seems like they are in a cycle.  They called last year around this time as well for about 2 months.  Never dealt with Nation Star.  Have you noticed that they give you an 888-967-9700 number with and ext. number (4363320) to call back on?  Has anyone tried calling the 469-549-2000 number?  Why can't this be stopped?

Another non-customer here. Not sure why they picked this number but I have gotten over 20 calls in the past few weeks. This company seems to have no problem with plaguing my cell phone's history with their nuisance calling, which is their mistake since those records will be verified by my phone service for a complaint. Based on this harassment I will avoid any business with NationStar or any of its affiliates as much as possible and even inform my associates to do the same.

Just got a call from this number in the middle of the day, no message, immediately following a call from another unknown number (266) 632-8917.  I am also on the do not call list but got these random calls a minute apart.
