Received call today on cell phone from heavily accented person claiming to be Southwest Airlines offering me free round trip anywhere in USA for attending open house. I played along for a while, asking questions and he put his "supervisor" on the phone. They wouldn't tell me where the open house was but wanted to know if any time the next three days at 5PM or 7PM would be a good time. I said it wouldn't work and he asked about mornings or Saturday. I could hear boiler room conversations in the background. I told him I wasn't interested and to take me off his list. He responded, "Why?", at which point, I hung up.

Same call as the others. Someone claiming to be from American Airlines. I informed them that in the state where I live it is against the law to solicit over a cell phone number. She started arguing so I started recording the call. I then informed her she was being recorded and reinformed her that she was breaking the law and would be reported to the authorities with the recording. She hung up. If I had more time and wasn't at work during this call I would have played along and wasted an couple hours of her worthless life by giving her a credit card number that wasn't real and contained letters. Can't wait to get one of these while I'm at home so I can record myself messing with them and wasting their time.

Yes.  I received a call today.  Claimed they were with American Airlines.

Foreign accent from some "American" carrier (probably one of the airlines) for a "grand opening" in Dallas.

they first say they are calling from United Airlines ! they upon messing with them for a while find out they are a company called southern journeys

I just got a call. If I see this again I will answer "Thank you for calling Southwest Airlines, this is Hijab." Then I will ask for their credit card number, expiration date, security code, name, address, phone number and mothers maiden name. It probably won't be a very long conversation.

You still answer and they can pass your number along so their affiliates can keep your phone ringing. Also puts money in their pockets even without getting your financial information or breaking into your computer. Getting a ringing phone makes them madder.

They didn't leave a message, and it did not show where the call came from.

Called me several times.  I didn't answer and let it go to voicemail.  They never leave a voicemail. Blocked.

I got the same call and she kept on repeating in saying that my number was the right number and I told her I think you have the wrong number but she kept saying no your number is this right your numbers this right I said  yes but I have no clue what you're talking about and I don't want to be on any VIP list and then she said I'm from south west airlines it was some scam or something it was weird  so I hung up in two minutes later I tried to call back and it kept saying the number you dialed is incorrect check the number or area code again and retype it again it was really awkward  she had some type of Spanish accent like my friend has

Called my cell phone, just number showed up no name so I knew it wasn't anyone I knew. I said hello and they answer with a heavy accent so I knew right then it was a trash call. I said you have the wrong number they said "how do you know" and started to rattle off a phone number at which time i hung up and blocked the number.

Keeps calling my cell...I see I need to block these people.

Claimed to be from American Airlines. Female heavy hispanic accent.

Called my cell late on Friday night.  Heavy foreign accent - hard to understand.  Like a lot of people has noted.  She claimed to be from Southwest Airlines.  Said it was not a sales call.  Invited me to attend the grand opening of their new (reservations system?) in Richardson, TX.  They are cold calling.  I have not flown on SWA in many years.  I suspect it's a timeshare or cruise scam.

This company posed themselves a United Airlines and they were offering a free airline ticket if I came to a meeting in Richardson, Tx.

I am on No Call List. They did not leave message. I will block #. Thank you.
