- AnnoyedThey left an automated message in which everything but the phone number was cut off.
- MeMyself_IThey called me regarding minor issues in my accounts, which we resolved over the phone. Also helped me with coupons which saved money on the products I buy from them anyway. The resolved issues were veryfied when I logged in to my account. They don't call often, except maybe before autorenewal time. I usually never feel like chatting, but this was productive, and only took a couple of minutes. So, I guess thanks.

- Call type: Event reminder
- JoeI've ignored a few e-mails and website notices over the past few months regarding the expiration of my domains and web hosting service. GoDaddy called me just now for that exact reason, and they left me a pre-recorded voicemail message in a friendly female voice (complete with exaggerated "receiver hang-up" sound clip at the end) when I didn't answer:
"Hi, this is GoDaddy.com! We've been trying to reach you with imporant information regarding your upcoming hosting product renewals. Please call us at 480-505-8859. *click*"
So yeah, not an upsell, just making sure that I don't get screwed when my stuff expires.
Working in this business, I get a lot of customers saying they wish they had been warned about their domain expiring, and then blame the registrar's poor customer contact practices. I know it's never the registrar's fault, but a lack of good contact information for their customer (which is the customer's fault, not the registrar's fault!). I appreciate these types of warnings, and this call wasn't telemarketing in the slightest.
Now, they may use the same Caller ID information for multiple call types, so if my scenario doesn't apply to you, then so be it. :)- Caller: GoDaddy.com
- Call type: Event reminder
- Laura| 1 replyThis is GO DADDY.COM customer service thanking you for your recent renewal. This is absurd as the monthly recurring charge is automatic. A waste of telephone time

- Scott Smith replies to 313Go Daddy has a great machine or "business model". The team is contacting you to "sell" you on services - yes, this is what they do... SERVE you! Don't be upset - at least the call is from Arizona and not India.
Now, are you in customer service in your line of work? I don't care WHAT industry or position you hold - YOU ARE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you are worth your salt you PROMOTE your company, products and service in your social environment or work and commute periods (when appropriate).
Be thankful that BOB PARSONS team is so well trained. Enjoy the GO Daddy experience, education, service and support and thank the next tele-marketer that calls on you to SERVE YOU! - Scott Smith replies to JackRight on Jack... a customer service follow up call is greatly appreciated. If the rep is good, he/she will OFFER to up sell and provide MORE service. It is called doing PRO-ACTIVE business. Why are these kings of the "home" acting like such "QUEENS" of the streets? lolol
- Scott Smith replies to AnnaHi Anna,
Did I miss you in English class (over the last 20 years)? Anyway, I love Bob Parson's customer service. This guys is a teacher of entrepreneurs - a master of customer service - a fun guy and a MARINE who served and continues to serve - YOU!

Scott - Scott SmithI got a call today from GO Daddy - I didn't answer it (sorry Zack). I know it is regarding my renewal - I'll call them back and thank them for the PROFESSIONAL reminder and renew.
I love good service - thanks Bob Parsons and the GO Daddy TEAM.
PS. Did you do the river run this year to Lake Havasu? You should sponsor a COMPANY EVENT to go along with it one year and include the Desert Storm Poker Run (boat races).

Ever wonder why you don't get any call backs for a date? It's the way you treat customer service reps - MEN, maybe? Zack isn't offering to take you to dinner - he just wants to service you. :-) - Scooter replies to Terry BytesHey Terry Bytes - great name - funny parents or your own wit? Ever meet Shanda Lear? It's really her name - Lear Electric Boats CEO and daughter of Bill Lear creator of Lear Jets.
Anyway, I was bored today and I noticed your CS response - have a nice day.
Regards from Zack and the CSR's at Go Daddy and even Bob Parsons.

Sheriff Maracopa County - sueIt was GoDaddy.com, they called because I just set up an email account for a business I am working with. The call was a follow up to the new accounts, they btw was very nice and I had questions they could help me with.

- mrs meee replies to Steve| 28 repliesNot necessarily. they can sometimes put what they want in the name field on caller ID. that's how fraud works.
- mrs meee replies to Flrtygrl| 6 repliesGodaddy doesn't call people at all, randomly, or if you purchased something. I have been with godaddy for years and just received this call for the first time now. It isn't really godaddy, I am fairly certain. read my post about it.

***SO IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT IS GODADDY, it looks like it is XO ARIZONA, INC.***
I have been with godaddy for years, and they have never called me til I got the call from this outfit pretending to be godaddy. They were just fishing for my privateinfo.
How do they know you have done business with godaddy? they simply look up domain names in the godaddy whois or any whois at any domain registrar. This info is available to the public inless you have private registration. So they can find your phone and address , email, etc easily. Associated with your domain name. This is spam, and using a fake ID of someone else is fraud, if indeed that's what they're doing.
DON'T TALK TO THESE PEOPLE! they're probably trying to scam you.
I told the guy, email me and I'll know if it's from godaddy or not. Because of course they have my email address, and theirs would show in the email. But in truth, it would also have to have the "domain keys verified" sign next to the sender's email address or else they could also forge the email sender name.
Godaddy customer support has a similar number but it is not the same. It ends in 77, not 59.
DON'T BELIEVE WHAT STRANGERS SAY ON THE PHONE WHEN THEY CONTACT YOU LIKE THIS!- Caller: fake godaddy
- mrs meee replies to Security dept....ALERT- DON'T DO THIS- THE GUY IS NOT SHERIFF OF ANYTHING! SCAM RIGHT ON HERE! AND SAME FAKE WRONG NUMBER! That number belongs to xo arizona, inc. not godaddy.
just go to godaddy .com and lookup sustomer support. their number is not the same as this!
see: http://ww7.callwiki.com/phones/view/480-505-8859 for this number technical info.
see: http://community.godaddy.com/support/?ci=22414&tab=3
the real godaddy page above says:
24/7 Technical Support
(480) 505-8877
Billing Support: (480) 505-8855
Wait Time 1 min expected wait time
SO YOU SEE THE FAKE NUMBER IS SCAMMOLA, IT IS NOT THE SAME AS REAL GODADDY.
THIS FAKE SCAM NUMBER , COMMENT ABOVE FROM FAKE SHERIFF, AND THIS WEBPAGE LINK SHOULD BE SENT TO THE AZ ATTORNEY GENERAL WEB PAGE COMPLAINT FORM IF THEY HAVE ONE. TO BE INVESTIGATED BY THE STATE OF ARIZONA. - mrs meee replies to Terry BytesTHESE SCAMMERS KNOW THAT GODADDY SENDS OUT A LOT OF ALERTS IN EMAIL. so they inow you will think it is godaddy when they call you. It isn't godaddy. in fact the people who we should all be telling about this, is godaddy itself. tell them about this phone number and these strange and inappropriate calls . Godaddy will want to preserve their good name and might just go after this scammola spammola phone phishing outfit, XO ARIZONA, INC. who uses this number 480-505-8859.
- mrs meee replies to Steve| 79 repliesTHIS IS NOT GODADDY'S CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER. !!! it belongs to another co., see below.
