Received a call from 1-480-662-1844, caller ID displayed Arizona and since we don't know anyone in Arizona we didn't answer that call.  Too many scammers with too much time on their hands.  Such ungodly people.

Also received a call from this number.  DId not answer since I didn't recognize the  #.  WHen tried to call back, got a number no longer in service message...Suspicious!

Call from 480-662-1844. Said I'd won a cruise. I hung up. Will report.

Number called and left no message.  I recently bought a new Verizon cell phone.  Maybe they were calling to give me a rebate or offer the deal of the century!  LMAO

It said it was from the customer service department of a resort that I recently stayed at and didn't get offered the 3 days 2 nights stay free at their luxury Orlando properly.  That's right 3 days, 2 ni.....  I haven't stayed at any resorts lately.

When they call, don't pick up. Don't feed the beast. Let it go to voice mail and eventually they will give  up. The Do Not Call Registry is a joke. Just another way to harvest victims' info for purposes other than to fight crime. The NSA can track any and ALL spammers. Look how hard they looked for Ed Snowden.

Don't answer if you don't recognize the number. If you don't make international calls then have your cell provider block your phone from being able to do this as there is another scam going around called the 'One Ring Scam'. Google it. The FBI has been warning about it for years. They call, you call back and get zinged with a huge cell bill.

Don't pick up. Don't call back. Block the number online at your cell providers site. Do this will all calls that originate from scammers.

I love this site. If I couldn't come here, I"d probably be on the phone with one of these duches.

Since when have criminals obeyed laws? And foreign country's could care less about our DNC laws.   Put the blame where it really lay's, with the criminals and illegal telemarketers.
The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. However, the Fed. DNC does not cover some survey's, Political or Charities.  You would need to check your states DNC laws to see if these are under your states DNC laws.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone..  You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I keep getting calls from this number.  They seem to use a lot of numbers with 480 area code.  I just got another one.  Wish something can be done to stop this outfit.

So far so lucky I don't get calls on my cell, they just ring my home phone.

My wife and I are retired. If we do not know the caller ID on our cell phones, we do not respond.  We know who we contact if we start a business transaction over the phone, and do not respond to any unsolicited calls.

I turned off the bell ringer on the home phone and when my answering machine kicks in I listen to their messages.  If I know or am expecting the caller, I'll answer.  Most calls are hang-ups.  All my friends, family, and neighbors know we request they "leave a message".

Some scammers leave "Amazing" offers.  I grew up on a farm, I've done my share of shoveling sh**, therefore no reply will be forthcoming.

Every now and then when I'm curious about who is leaving dozens of hang-up calls or lengthy recordings, I'll call *69 to find out the number and look it up here on 800notes.  Since my phone company has decided to raise the cost of this service, my curiosity has waned considerably.  Regardless, I mention the above method I've practiced to avoid being harassed by telemarketers to others might have an alternative to the confrontations one usually gets from less than honorable scammers.

Do something sensible:   NEVER return a call to nameless callers, nor those "companies" saying you've won a trip or stay at a fancy resort or some other deal.  You are not that lucky to be receiving all these wondrous prizes out of the clear blue sky.

If you are unlucky enough to have answered a call where you're promised gifts or services you did not initiate, it's probably to your advantage to politely say you are not interested and hang up.  They'll probably call again, and if you have the bad habit of answering, again, politely repeat your lack of interest, and perhaps state this is the 7th time or so you said no, and if they'd be so kind as to share their billing address, you'd have your friend at the FCC contact them.

Above all else, do not give nor confirm any information to anyone calling you without knowing who they are.  Your bank, credit card numbers, or other personal information are already with those who are supposed to know that information, and assume anyone requesting that information by calling you without you first initiating the call is probably trying to steal your information.

Sorry for taking up so much space and writing these tomes, but people who steal from others are the lowest people on earth, IMHO...  Be careful, and good luck.

Ignored the call based on other posrs.  Am really tired of these calls especially when carriers like Verizon, don't try to do anything because the company makes money from them.  The government has millions of these calls to shut down and with no support from the carriers it's a losing battle.  Almost enough to cause me to go either back to old school or off the grid entirely.

I get calls from this number 3 times a day. Seeing from all the other posts that it's a scam and glad I didn't pick it up. I tried calling it at 11:30 pm and the number just rings and rings. I will make sure I block this number for good.
