this stuff is killing me.  dont mean to be dramatic, but i am tired of these calls.  once a week now for months.  i have tried many options in the past, none have worked.  i want this @%@%@%@ to stop calling.  plan to continue my search onwards, after this posting, i will try to come back and give you an update if needed.  no way, you dont get to call my cell with BS.  many thanks for your postings, as i did not kno these sites exist.

The message this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service is wrong. Someone bought a device from a countersurveillance company that causes the local phone company recording to tell you that. They just plug it in between there phone jack and line cord, or telephone. Him/her can still make outgoing calls, with this device connected to the line.

I have recieved this call but from diffrent numbers every time diffrent area codes all togeather.  They where all for vehicle warranties though every time really starting to piss me off.  Im gettn these calls to my cell phone, I have sprint service and live in cali.

Michael, no The owner of 800notes.com web pages periodically deletes these website messages. So no not just two days of complainers.

I have received multiple phone calls regarding the renewal of my car warranty on my cell from this number. Some how they have also called my office number with the same speal. Several co-workers have said they have also recieved the same type of phone calls for a car warranty. I do NOT own a new vehicle and certainly not one that is up for a warranty renewal. I feel like answering and saying "Hey" you want to buy me a new car so I can have a reason to accept your call ... LOL, but I usually just hang up. What is up with this stuff? It is very annoying and wastes my cell minutes - they never leave a message but I never answer the calls unless I am not paying attention.

Just to add to my previous message .. I too have been getting these messages for almost 5 months. ATT - but how the heck did they get my work number extension & all? Other co-workers, as I said, also get the same calls - both Cell and at work. This has to be some type of hacker prank and random calling ... TX. They are definately annoying but I think will start doing the same thing to them (the car warrenty people - unless they are looking to make sure they have a valid phone # --- ???), answer next time, as I do to the NY calling card people - they transpose the area code and think it they are using a calling card (we have the same # as the calling card - LOL). It must cost them long distance $'s calling a TX. number - so I always make sure to answer the phone quickly so they will learn how to use the card, because they are obviously dyslexic people when they dial.

Do any of you guys use skype?  Have you registered youru phone number on there?

The only place I know of that has BOTH these numbers is skype and I am thinking the sold my numbers.

same thing happened to me. i missed the call, and when i called it back, it said it was no longer available and/or had been disconnected. 2 seconds after i missed it, however, i called it back and it rang busy. this was about 3 p.m. on 11-20-2008.

I'm having a pi check into it and see if i can do class action case against them. The name is registered and listed, its being checked into.

Received miss call from this same phone number at 5:26 pm (PST) last night. I found this page via Google. I've gotten these types of calls before and they are basically telemarketing calls, someone trying to sell vehicle warranties. My advice, have your name removed from their list and also register your phone number with the "National Do Not Call Registry", you can locate it via Google. By law, they have to stop calling you and you can report them if they don't but you have to register with the National Do not call registry first. You can register home and cell phone numbers. I'm about to add my cell phone to the list. Hope this helps...

don't know what to do about it....
this call comes once or twice in a week, usually during day time sometimes at midnight.

Got this call around 3pm on 11-20-08 while I was at work, but didn't answer.  I'm with Sprint.

I never answer calls that are not in my cellphone phonebook. When I get these, I add them in my phonebook & title them SPAM, so I know to ignore them. I got this one on a Tracphone, in Santee, Calif.

I am in the NJ area and have also received these calls about the warranty...I never pick up these calls, but I have been getting them for approx. 1 month.

I got that same call from Antonio but I did not answer it and I told my mom about it and she told me not to answer.  Stupid idiots.

I got this call on my verizon cell on nov.20 at 4:00pm. i haven't had one from this number since. maybe the threat of pizza, wings, new tires and tv's worked. i think the government should look into this. GOD knows if you are talking to your friend and said anything about terrorism they would be at your door in quick order. I HOPE THE NEW ADMINISTRATION IS GOING TO PROTECT US FROM THIS BULL@#$%!
