They called, I answered, they hung up

This robo call is actually a collection company that is trying to confirm that the phone number is active. They are using this scam to get personal information and confirm phone numbers.

Juss got a call no one was there

Receiving calls from this number 503-468-5002 and we are on the Texas No Call List!  They are calling my cell phone 903-276-5584!  They need to stop calling or I'm going to file charges, we have been on the no call list for months!  We don't know who the company is that is calling

Got a call from this number this morning. Automated call saying they were "Card Services" and if I was interested in lowering my credit card rates to 6.99% to press 1. I did to play along and when I started telling them I didn't feel comfortable giving personal information they said it wasn't necessary. All they needed was for me to provide an 800 number off of just one of my credit cards so they could do a conference call with me to verify my account was in good standing. When I told them I wanted to know more about their company and if there was a website I could go to and then call them back they started passing me off to another "representative". After the fourth representative I told them that if I had to make a decision right this instant or lose the deal they were scammers and I was reporting them.

Got a call from this number this morning.  Googled the number and got this website.  Glad to report this call on this website but what will stop the calls?

Answered. They hung up. Again!!!

I am on the do not call list and do not appreciate getting a call from someone I do not know!

Received call this afternoon on my cell.  I ignored it.  No message left and I did not call back.

Every day somewhere in the U.S. calls to offer us credit...this one from Oregon...We are on a do not call list...what else can we do?

Why call if they don't leave a message or talk?

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone a short time ago.  This was unsolicited, and I am on Do Not Call list.  I have also received unsolicited calls from 800-340-9610 and 610-842-8657 offering chimney cleaning services.   I agree with Cris above...this is harassment and something needs to be done to stop these people from calling numerous times throughout the days, evenings and on weekends!

Got another call today.  Calling both home and cell phones (all on do not call lists).  About a month ago I decided to push the button to talk to someone.  When I told the representative that I was not comfortable talking to anyone about financial matters over the phone she stated they were a reputable company and then got very loud, talked fast, and was rude.  I hung up.  Don't know how to stop these!

They have been calling my house repeatedly even after I ask them to take me off the list. How they have gotten my cell number.

I have been receiving calls for weeks from this number.
I tried calling the number back and kept getting hung up on (using my cell phone)
THEN....I tried calling the number from my home telephone number (I have magic jack phone service)
I got a recording that says " the number you have dialed is not in contract with magic jack and cannot connect your call until your carrier is accepted."

What kind of weird stuff is this?  

I am sick of them calling...can anyone tell me how to get the calls to be stopped?

This number calls all the time and no one is there!!

They used to call me a lot, but rarely do since I told them I don't have any credit card debt.  I think maybe I should tell them I'm under 18, maybe they would stop calling all together.

I just left a job where I was a LEGITIMATE survey person, who paid people if they would complete surveys over the phone.  I had to quit because people were so mean to me all the time, assuming always that I was wanting money from them, rather than wanting to give them money.  I took some solace in knowing that it was their loss.  

I am never rude to someone who calls, even if they are a telemarketer, until they are actually rude to me.  I either hang up or politely decline.  They have a sh*t job, I'm sure they know it and hate doing it even more than we hate the calls, (try doing it 40 hours a week once, you'd understand). So if its a human, its just someone trying to make a living.  Give 'em a break.  You may even get a check at the end if you hear them out.

BTW: real debt consolidators don't do this, there are non-profits that are quite good at this, but this is not one of them.
