I think that the government could/should fine anyone who keeps a number for less than say 90 days and then these idiots would not be able to change numbers so often. I think the phone companies are more than happy to "rent" these numbers as then they charge a fee for activation and a rate for a month or two and we are left with the problem. If a company had to pay to change numbers to often then they would lose the incentive to do so and maybe, just  maybe these might stop.

First time I have received a from this number, I ignored it. ID comes up as "PacificTel."

I have a Panasonic KX-TGA series which lets you block annoying numbers. It's a great phone, but the problem is, I've already added 30 phone numbers to my block list. I'm maxed out and cannot add anymore.

No message just a dial tone

Trying something new... my phone has "selective forward".  Once one of these clowns call, I then forward their number to my company's fax number.  My guess is that a few fax squeals will get my number out of their autodialer.

Got a call and never left message.

" Lower my interest rate" calls--4/16/12 and 4/10/12--plus numerous other times.  I, too, tried pushing "1" to tell them not to call-- caller hung up on me--even hit "3"--which was supposed to automatically "take me off the list"!!!!  I think I get fewer calls but still calling several times a week.

Some prerecorded message about lowering interest rates and that I should "call back to speak with a live operator."  If it's not important enough for you to use a live operator, it's not important enough for me to give you the time of day.

This telemarketer has called every week for 2 months. I reported them to FCC this morning.

Get calls all the time.  Let everything go to message.  Can't use my phone.  Get collection calls for other people on my cell and home phone.   They never believe that Jonathan or Alma do not live here and I don't know who they are.  Had the home phone for 9 years and the cell number for 6.   Make them stop.

Stupid annoying frauds.  Something about lowering interest rates...I yelled at the guy and he told me to call my phone company and block the phone calls.

These calls are from a credit card scam to try to get your number.  The do not tell you which card company is calling and if you call them back, the first thing the ask for is your credit card number.  Do not give them your number.

I have tried the "do not call" and it doesn't work. When I got the operator, he told me to "F... Off".

Received phone call with message:  if you want to keep your 6% interest on your citi card hold.    I held: and asked if this was Citibank and at first a man said yes, and mentioned a Visa card which I don't own, when I asked where he got my name...he said off a cereal box!  and laughed.

I get this one at least once a week. I don't answer!

We are on every do not call list and these calls still manage to get through because as stated above they use "throw away" phones...I got so upset once with some lady trying to solicit money I called the police who said it would do no good to track the phone number because they throw them away .mOst of the calls are out of the country and rerouted through various areas in America .
