I get this one at least once a week. I don't answer!

We are on every do not call list and these calls still manage to get through because as stated above they use "throw away" phones...I got so upset once with some lady trying to solicit money I called the police who said it would do no good to track the phone number because they throw them away .mOst of the calls are out of the country and rerouted through various areas in America .

This is an unwanted call from some credit card scheister.

Forget the DNC and registering with them, it doesn't work. It doesn't work to file a complaint with them neither...senseless.
Here's what we need to do..start complaining to the phone companies! These are the idiots who assign the phone numbers to these people in the first place.
Anyone can walk into any phone company and ask for several numbers to run their business and as long as they pay the bill each month, the phone companies don't care.
I have chosen to have my phone number Unlisted in the phone book, and I pay extra for having it unlisted. But it doesn't do any good.
My phone company also offers a "Caller Block" to have these telemarketers blocked if I wish, but I pay extra to my phone company for this service..see the pattern here. The phone companies give out these numbers to the telemarketers, but charge you the consumer to have the numbers blocked.
Go after the phone companies...complain to them.

Received call from this number at 9:50pm with recording "press #1 to speak with operator about reducing credit card rate" !  I was very upset so I "pressed 1" to talk to someone to express my complaint about the late hour of the call. The person who picked up listened to my objection then answered "but YOU pressed one to receive the call" - !!! I loudly responded that "yes - after YOU called my phone number at this late hour"!! They simply hung up on me!

I LIKED THE IDEA GIVEN AT NOTES ABOUT 425-486-8942.  IF YOU HAVE A COMPUTER OR OTHER ELECTRONIC GIZMO, IF YOU HAVE THE TIME RESPOND TO EVERY SURVEY REQUEST YOU CAN FIND AND GIVE THEM PHONY INFO ALONG WITH PHONE NUMBER YOU'RE BEING BUGGED BY.  THE MORE THE MERRIER.  YOU'LL HAVE ONE IDIOT CALLING ANOTHER.

many calls received from this number.  I have caller ID and don't answer any more.

Please remove us from your calling list.  I have sent this message before, however, it might have come from a different phone number.  I want to have us removed from any list, no matter how many phone numbers they use.

The problem is that the number of calls you can block this way is limited. Eventually you will no longer be able to block these numbers. That's how they get you.

caller id shows PACIFICTEL, I don't bother to answer but let it go to machine & delete them. Everyone I wish to speak with (especially doctors, friends, family) has my cell #, so most of my landline calls are annoyance calls.

Recieved land line harassing phone calls for over 4 months....thousands of different number - fake ...
Iam 75 yrs....they hang up..dial tone only....PLEASE HELP i  HAVE NO DEBT

I bought a Panasonic cordless phone with call block,love it,and it is so easy,many other features too.

I've probably received 50 calls from that number and a host of others using the same message on robot dialers and  the same script if you get a live scammer after pressing the appropriate button. Being retired, I have plenty of time to waste their time. I string them along (Wow! I'd LOVE to get a better rate! Tell me MORE!") until they request a valid credit card number so they can check my credit. I ask, "Have you ever heard about the FTC Do Not Call Registry, a**hole?" and hang up.

They want to give me a FREE alarm system, and all I need to do is let them put a sign in my yard! -- plus pay them $$/month to "monitor" the alarm.  Here's the plan: EVERYONE tell them YES!, give me the FREE alarm system, then tell them, hell NO!, I'm not paying!!
